  • Patent number: 11341701
Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating a composite image of a person is provided herein. During operation, a witness is presented with a plurality of attributes of an individual. A witness selection of an attribute is received from the presented attributes. Images of individuals who were at an incident scene at a time of the incident are received and analyzed to determine images of those individuals with attributes similar to the attribute selected by the witness. The images of those individuals with the attributes similar to the attribute selected by the witness are processed by redacting information from the images to produce a plurality of processed images. The witness is then presented with the plurality of processed images.

  • Patent number: 11328723
Abstract: A portable radio (100) provides a voice control feature which advantageously enables radio users to perform talk group changes by using voice as an input medium to the radio device. Activation of a voice control button (110) and verbal entry of a valid talk group control command enables a change in talk group. The portable radio (100) comprises a controller (102) having a code plug (120) pre-programmed with a plurality of talk group alias names, and an automatic speech recognition (ASR) engine (118) providing voice control entry detection to the portable radio. The controller (102) enables a change in talk group in response to the ASR engine (118) detecting that the voice control entry is a valid talk group control command. Shortened audible confirmations of talk group change are generated using the alias names.

  • Patent number: 11330104
Abstract: Systems and methods for selectively routing emergency calls between public safety answering points and in-field first responders. One example method includes determining one or both of an identity and a location of an emergency caller. The method includes retrieving, based on the identity and/or the location, active incident information identifying one or more active incidents associated with the identity and/or the location. The method includes identifying identities and/or locations of one or more in-field first responders associated with the one or more active incidents and comparing the identity and/or location of the emergency caller to the identities and/or locations of the in-field first responders associated with the active incidents. When a match is found based on the comparison, the emergency call is routed to one of the matching in-field first responders and not to the PSAP. When a match is not found, the emergency call is routed to the PSAP.

  • Patent number: 11326956
Abstract: One example temperature sensing device includes an electronic processor configured to receive a thermal image of a person captured by a thermal camera. The electronic processor is configured to determine a first temperature and a first location of a first hotspot on the person. The electronic processor is configured to determine a second location of a second hotspot on the person based on the second location being approximately symmetrical with respect to the first location about an axis, and the second hotspot having a second temperature that is approximately equal to the first temperature. The electronic processor is configured to determine a distance between the first location of the first hotspot and the second location of the second hotspot. In response to determining that the distance is within the predetermined range of distances, the electronic processor is configured to generate and output an estimated temperature of the person.

  • Patent number: 11329774
Abstract: Systems and methods for frequency spectrum interference coordination in communication systems with dynamically-assigned spectrum. Embodiments provided herein include a spectrum management entity proxy between a cellular network's base stations and the spectrum management entity. The spectrum management entity proxy determines and implements an interference coordination scheme between the base stations of the cellular network. To determine and implement the interference coordination scheme, the spectrum management entity proxy modifies the messages exchanged between one or more base stations and a spectrum management entity before forwarding the messages. In some embodiments, the spectrum management entity proxy generates request messages to the spectrum management entity on behalf of the base stations (and vice versa).

  • Patent number: 11310209
Abstract: A process for protecting confidentiality of audio messages that are received at an electronic computing device for providing a corresponding audio output at electronic audio output devices. In operation, the electronic computing device partitions the audio message into audio content segments, where each audio content segment is assigned to a respective confidentiality level. The electronic computing device determines a current exposure level of the electronic audio output device. The electronic computing device further determines whether the audio message is to be modified based on a current exposure level of the electronic audio output device and the respective confidentiality level assigned to each audio content segment. An audio output corresponding to the modified audio message is provided at the electronic audio output device when it is determined that the audio message is to be modified.

Abstract: A method and system to preserve a group call state during a cloud-based call processing service upgrade is provided. Group call requests are queued through a message broker to instances of a call processing service. A cloud based database is selectively locked and unlocked by each instance of the call processing service as group call requests are processed with retrieved group call states A need to upgrade the call processing service is determined by an orchestration framework, which sends exit signals to current instances of the call processing service and starts new instances. In-progress group call requests are processed by their respective instances of the call processing service and acknowledgments are sent to a message broker upon completion. Unacknowledged group call requests are determined byte message broker and retransmitted to the new instances of the call processing service.
