Abstract: An electric cooking apparatus comprises a base (1) in the form of a frame defining a hollow internal region (6), a vessel (2) adapted to rest on the base in that internal region, an electric heating resistance (3) disposed above the vessel, a cooking grill (4) disposed above the resistance (3) and adapted to receive food to be grilled, and a thermal regulator (10) mounted in series with the electric heating resistance (3) and operating in a predetermined switching temperature range. A thermostatic safety switch (11) is disposed in the base and mounted in series with the heating resistance (3) and operates at a fixed switching temperature below the minimum temperature of that range and permits detecting, by thermal conduction, abnormal increases of the temperature of the vessel (2) and cuts off as needed the electrical supply of the electric heating resistance (3).

Abstract: A toaster comprises a housing (1) enclosing a carriage (4) movable between an ejection position and a toasting position to which it can be brought by a handle (6) connected to one end (7) of the carriage (4) by a driver (8) secured to a finger (11) adapted to actuate a control switch (12) for the electrical supply of a heater (3). Abstract: A ripple current generator for an induction heating apparatus includes a resonant circuit with a current injecting self-inducting coil (6), a capacitor (13), an induction heating coil (14) and a high-frequency controlled power switch (12). The current injecting self-inducting coil (6) is saturable and mounted in series with a parallel assembly consisting of two arms; a first arm (B.sub.1) containing the switch (12) and a second arm (B.sub.2) containing a capacitor (13) mounted in series with the induction heating coil (14). The self-inducting coil includes a magnetic circuit that automatically reaches saturation during the resonance phase of the oscillating circuit. The generator is useful in household cooking appliances such as induction plates, cookers or deep fryers, as well as industrial induction heating equipment for treating metal components.
Abstract: A domestic deep fat fryer comprising, in a housing (1), a vessel (2) adapted to contain a cooking bath (3). An electric heating resistance (4) heats the cooking bath. A thermal regulator (6) of high thermal inertia is mounted in series with the heating resistance and operates over a predetermined range of switching temperature. The fryer moreover comprises a thermostatic safety switch (8) mounted in series with the electric heating resistance and operating at a fixed switching temperature higher than the maximum temperature of the temperature range of the thermal regulator (6). This thermostatic safety switch has a thermal inertia less than that of the regulator (6) so as to detect abnormally rapid temperature increases and to cut off the electrical supply in such case to the electric heating resistance.
Abstract: A hand-held electric beater-mixer comprises a drive motor (7), two coupling devices (20, 28) linked to the motor and engageable by a whisk and a mixing accessory (38) respectively, an electrical switch (71) operated by a button (67) having an "off" position, a number of "continuous on" positions and a "selective on" position, a vertical movable ejector (51), and a mechanical assembly (72) for preventing continuous operation when the mixing accessory is in place. The mechanical assembly comprises a movable member (74) which releases the ejector when the whisk is in place. The ejector has an engagement tab (53) enabling operation of the button when the ejector is in the raised position, and locks the ejector (51) in the lowered position when the mixing accessory is in place. The engagement tab (53) of the ejector locked in the lowered position locks the button (67) on the side corresponding to its "continuous on" positions.
