Abstract: Brewing apparatus comprising a brew-collecting container (1), defined by a sidewall (2) and a bottom wall (3), that can be placed under the outlet (4) of a filter (5) of a housing (6) of a brewing apparatus (7), in such a way that it rests on a base (8) of said brewing apparatus (7). The container (1) includes a handle (9) fastened to said sidewall (2) by fastening means, a spout (10) through which the brew is poured out of the container (1) and a lid (11) which has an opening (12) through which the brew flows into the container. In accordance with the invention, the opening (12) is located in alignment with the spout (10), and the outlet (4) of the filter (5) is arranged so as to overlay said spout (10) in a brewing position. The invention is particularly useful for electric coffee-makers.

Abstract: A cooking apparatus including an open housing (1) closed by a lid (8), a cooking vat (4) provided inside the housing, and a cooking vapor condenser device (13) provided outside the housing. At least one vapor outlet (22) is provided between the upper portion of the vat (4) and the condenser device (13) and includes an upstream section (24) integral with the lid (8) and having one end (25) in communication with the upper portion of the vat (4), and a downstream section (27) connecting the other end (26) of the upstream section with the condenser device (13). This system is suitable for household deep fryers.

Abstract: A process for the production of a whisk for an electric kitchen beater, comprising a rod (12) having at one of its ends a hub (15) carrying at least two loops (19, 20) each forming an agitator and made from a metallic wire whose ends are secured to the hub, the hub (15) being produced by an over-molding operation by injection of a plastic material onto the rod (12) and onto the two loops (19, 20) adjacent the rod. Before over-molding the hub on the end of the rod and adjacent portions of the loops, the loops are positioned in a mold in planes transverse to the horizontal axis of the rod. Then, after molding, the loops are swung down into their final position in which their sections (19b, 20b) opposite the hub (15) contact each other. At this contact point (P), the loops are secured together as by welding. In this way, a complicated mold for the hub, that would accommodate the loops in their final position, is not necessary.

Abstract: A domestic mixer comprises a base (11) enclosing an electric motor (13) whose output shaft (15) projects from the base, as well as a bowl (18) adapted to be closed by a cover (20), mounted removably on the base (11) and having a rotatable tool (24) adapted to be coupled with the shaft (15) of the motor. The cover (20) and the upper edge (40) of the bowl (18) are interconnected by at least one bolt (44) secured to the cover (20) and connected, by a transmission member (46) actuable by the bolt, to a control member (48) movably mounted through the upper portion (16) of the base (11) between a working position to which it is brought when the cover (20) is locked by the bolt (44) and in which, under the action of the transmission member (46), it actuates a switch (50) adapted to permit the starting of the motor (13), and a rest position to which it is brought when the cover (20) is open and in which it does not actuate the switch (50), thereby to stop the motor (13).

Abstract: An electric steam iron comprises a pump (20) adapted to remove a quantity of water from a reservoir (17) and to send this quantity, via a selection device (24), either into a steam chamber (14) so as to obtain abruptly an abundant emission of steam through holes in the sole, or to a cold water spray (25), this pump being of the type having a piston (27) movable in an intake chamber (31). The selection device comprises a deformable membrane (56) with two valves (58, 59) associated respectively with two openings, namely an injection opening (44) connected to the steam chamber (14) and a spray opening (45) connected to the spray chamber (25) and subjected respectively to two manual control buttons, namely, a steam button (62) and a spray button (63).

Abstract: Device and method for administering timed orders for the remote control of apparatus, comprising a clock (4) adapted to mark the time, an adjuster (5) for the clock, a programmer (6) permitting selecting an absolute wake up time, a comparator (7) for comparing the clock time and the absolute time, and a control (10) which can have either an active condition in which it sends information for starting the apparatus and to which it is brought by the coincidence of the clock time with the absolute time, or an inactive condition in which it authorizes no operation of the apparatus in the absence of such coincidence. The control (10) is subordinated to a corrector (11 ) for the absolute time which retards or advances a predetermined time relative to the selected absolute time so as to fix a relative time. The control (10) then passes to its active condition at this relative time. The programmer (6) comprises an automatic device (12) for positioning the relative time with respect to the programmed absolute time.

Abstract: Electric cooking apparatus having a base (1) in the shape of a frame with an open bottom, a removable pan (2) adapted to rest on the base, a cooking grille (3) for food disposed above the pan (2), and an electric heating resistance (4) disposed below the grille (3) on a support (5) and including a handle (6) adapted to rest in a recess (8) of the base (1). The handle (6) comprises a control switch (9) for the supply of electricity to the resistance (4) whose closing is subordinated, on the one hand, to the correct positioning of the handle (6) in the recess (8), and, on the other hand, to the actuation of an actuator or a transmitter (10) fixed to the base and adapted to detect the presence of the pan (2) on the base (1). The transmitter (10) is a member mounted movably on the base (1) whose one end (11) is adapted to come into contact with the pan (2) and whose other end (12) is adapted to control the switch (9).

Abstract: A device for locking a filter carrier on an infusion head (1) of a coffeemaker provided with a locking ramp (2) and adapted to receive a filter carrier (3) which comprises to this end securement structure (4) to the head (1), such that the filter carrier (3) may be engaged in the head (1) and be brought, by a movement of rotation, from a free position to a locked position. The locking device comprises structure for signaling the passage from the free position to the locked position. The signal can be audible or visual, generated mechanically, electroacoustically or optoelectronically. The invention is applicable to coffeemakers of the espresso type.
