Abstract: An accessory for the preparation of a creamy air-milk-steam emulsion to produce Italian cappuccino, is mounted at the end of a steam outlet pipe (2) of an espresso coffee machine. The accessory comprises an aspiration chamber (3) communicating with the steam outlet pipe, a first lateral opening (4) which communicates with a receptacle containing milk, a second lateral opening (5) in communication with the atmosphere, and a third opening (6) through which leaves a first mixture which flows into an emulsion chamber (7) having a first outlet (8). The receptacle containing the milk is integral with the accessory. The invention is applicable to a cappuccino accessory fixed on a steam outlet pipe of a coffee-making machine.

Abstract: A cartridge (1) for mounting in a water circuit of an apparatus (3) comprises a chamber (6) having a first orifice (4) connected to a liquid reservoir, and a second orifice (5) through which the liquid exits. The chamber also contains a resin (8) for demineralizing the liquid, as well as a state-changing material indicating saturation of the said resin, the chamber having a transparent portion (7) permitting a user to verify a color change. The transparent portion (7) comprises two juxtaposed windows (9 and 10) and a separating partition (11) arranged between the first orifice (4) and the second orifice (5), one end of which terminates at the transparent portion (7) between the two windows (9 and 10) and the other free end of which separated from the peripheral wall delimits, for the liquid, a path of predetermined length so as to permit comparison between the two windows.

Abstract: Supply circuit adapted to supply a magnetron (1) and comprising a high loss inductive voltage increasing transformer (8) whose primary winding (13) is mounted in series with a commutation element (14) adapted to chop the voltage and whose secondary winding (19) is connected to the load (1). The circuit comprises also a self inductor (17) mounted in series with the primary winding (13) of the transformer (8), as well as a condenser (18) connected in parallel to the primary winding. The commutation element is a unidirectional current gate (14), and the secondary winding (19) of the transformer (8) is directly connected to the load (1). The circuit is useful, for example, in microwave ovens.
Abstract: Cooking apparatus, e.g. a deep fat fryer, comprising an open housing (1) adapted to be closed by a cover (2) pivotably removably mounted on an upper edge (3) of the housing by disassemblable hinges. A device (5) for automatically raising the cover permits the cover (2) to pass from a closed position to an open position. The hinges comprise two spaced bearings (6, 7) secured to the upper edge (3) of the housing and arranged on a common axis parallel to that edge, as well as two pivots (8, 9) secured to the cover (2) and mounted on the bearings (6, 7). One of the bearings (7) comprises a portion (10) axially retractable against the action of a compression spring (11) so as to permit the separation of the bearing (7) and the pivot (9) so as to unhinge the cover (2).
Abstract: Pouring receptacle for infusion, adapted to be placed in a microwave oven and comprising a body (1) to which is secured a handle (2) by an encircling band (3), the body (1) and the handle (2) being of a material transparent to microwaves. The encircling band (3) clamps a portion (4, 16) of the handle (2) to the body (1) and is of a material having a coefficient of expansion near that of the body, transparent to microwaves and resistant to deformation during successive thermal cycles. The band is a structure reinforced by fibers. The fibers can be applied by winding from a spool, or the band (3) can be molded and heated to expand it so it slips over the body (1) and cools and contracts to grip the body (1) firmly.
Abstract: A cylinder (3) is closed, on the one hand, by a cover (4) and, on the other hand, by a ferrule (5) traversed by a rotatable shaft (6). The cylinder (3) is so disposed as to close an infusion chamber (15) delimited by the cover and by a sliding piston (17) driven by a translatory drive (18) integral with the shaft. A jacket (19) is slidably mounted by an actuating device (20) connected to the shaft (6), the piston (17) is itself slidably mounted in the jacket (19), the different positions of the jacket and of the piston being defined relative to each other by a selector (35) of the number of rotations of the shaft. Application particularly for household coffeemaking machines.

Abstract: A securement member (13-18) has a relatively rigid foot (4-25) adapted to be secured on a first member (1) and prolonged by a body (5-19) provided in at least one region of its side surface with protuberant elastic hooking formations (7-20), and a seat (8-23) provided in the second member (2) whose internal side wall (9-24') has a shape of revolution, and adapted to receive with friction the body (5-19) and the hooking formations (7-20). The securement member (3-18) and the seat (8) comprise a mutual unlocking assembly (13-22, 24) permitting, by movement of rotation between the securement member (3-18) and the seat (8-23), effecting the escape of the hooking formations from the side wall of the seat. The invention is particularly applicable to devices for securing an appliance housing on a wall.
Abstract: Cooking apparatus such as, for example, an oven includes a cooking chamber (1) having at least one electrical heating element (9) having a tubular envelope (10) of fragile material of the type of quartz or glass which is mounted in supports (16, 17) secured to the chamber (1) so as to maintain the envelope (10) at a distance from the internal wall of the chamber. The tubular envelope (10) is enclosed in a cage (18) whose wall (19) is sufficiently pierced to let pass the infrared radiation toward the interior of the chamber (1) and sufficiently rigid to resist any mechanical shock. The cage (18) is provided with members (24, 25) for securing it to the internal wall of the chamber (1).
Abstract: A household coffeemaker comprises a cold water reservoir (1) supplying a water heater (2) of the circulating type whose outlet is connected to a water channel (3) of a coffee filter (4). The water heater comprises a heating resistance (7) whose supply circuit is connected to the terminals (8) of a source of alternating current. The supply circuit of the resistance (7) comprises a device (11) for changing the electric power supplied to the resistance (7) so as to supply, during a first so-called pre-steeping phase, a low power to obtain a low flow rate of hot water, and during a second so-called infusion phase, a higher power to obtain a higher flow rate of hot water. The invention is applicable to drip coffeemakers.
Abstract: A hair dryer comprises a housing (1) of which one portion comprises a mounting for securement on a wall (P), and which contains a hot air generator group (3-4) controlled by a switch (5) and adapted to establish a current of air between an air inlet opening (6) and a hot air outlet opening (7). The hot air outlet opening receives a connector (8) secured to a flexible tube (9) provided with a drying nozzle (10) which can be brought, either into a retracted or rest position in which the switch is open, or into a use position in which the switch is closed. The connector (8) is rotatably movably mounted on the air outlet opening (7), and comprises an actuator (14) for the switch (5) such that the movement of the nozzle (10) from its retracted or rest position to its use position brings, by transmission of the movement of the nozzle to the connector by the flexible tube, the switch into its closed position, and vice versa.
Abstract: A kitchen oven comprises, in a chamber (2), a drippings pan (6) supporting a spit (8) and adapted to occupy two positions, either a cooking position in which the drip-pings pan is in the chamber and the spit is in the axle of a rotatable drive (9), or a retracted position in which the drippings pan is partially outside the chamber (2) and the spit (8) is free from the drive. The drippings pan and the walls (3) of the oven comprises mutually sliding surfaces (20, 21) so arranged that, prior to the cooking position, the surfaces exert on each other a force F directed toward the rear of the oven tending to position the drippings pan automatically in its cooking position.
