  • Patent number: 5275661
Abstract: A chucking portion (10) is supported at the lower part of a dip head portion (2) to be vertically movable in a horizontal state through four shafts. Two diagonally positioned two shafts 11a, 11b are formed by ball screws, and the other two (11c, 11d) serve as guide shafts. The dip head portion (2) contains a motor (12) for synchronously driving the two ball screws, and the chucking portion (10) horizontally engages a holding plate (A) holding a number of chip type electronic components (B) to downwardly direct the same. A dipping vessel (7) having a bottom surface which is coated with a thin film of paste is horizontally arranged under the dip head portion (2). Thus, it is possible to maintain the holding plate in parallel with the paste, for applying electrodes to the chip type electronic components with high accuracy.

  • Patent number: 5263370
Abstract: A liquidometer composed of a siphon for emitting a sample liquid stored in a reservoir and a liquid level sensor for sensing the level of the sample remained in the reservoir. The siphon further includes a pair of sensors for counting the number of emission thereof, while the liquid level sensor includes two rows of resistive film with a plurality of sensing elements embedded therein. Outside the liquidometer, there are provided a counter connected to the emission sensor, a level calculator connected to the liquid level sensor, and a calculator coupled to both. A gross amount of the sample liquid having been measured for a period of hours is obtained by adding together a count signal from the counter which represents the quantity of the sample liquid fully stored in the reservoir and a signal from the level counter which represents the liquid level of the remaining sample liquid.

  • Patent number: 5226313
Abstract: A body fluid excretion volume measurement apparatus for medical application. The apparatus stores body fluid excreted from patients in a body fluid storage tank and measures the resistance value with a resistance sensor. The resistance value depends on the shape of the body fluid storage tank, and if the tank is columnar, the resistance value is monotonically increasing with respect to the depth of body fluid. The output of the resistance sensor is processed by a measurement part and electric measurement of the body fluid volume stored in the body fluid storage tank is performed automatically.

  • Patent number: 5198777
Abstract: Apparatus for detecting thickness which includes an electrode detecting unit including a ground electrode and a detecting electrode. The electrodes oppose each other along a paper path. An oscillating circuit provides an oscillation frequency signal. A resonant circuit, having a resonator independent of the oscillating circuit, has a resonance point which changes in accordance with a change in electro-static capacitance corresponding to a change in paper thickness detected by the electrode detecting unit. A resonant circuit outputs a detection signal corresponding to the change in resonance point. By analyzing this detecting signal, a state of two sheets of paper passing through the path is detected as a change in paper thickness.

  • Patent number: 5191307
Abstract: A coil case with a coil receptacle for receiving a coil winding is formed integrally with cover flaps which are swingably joined to either end of the coil receptacle by hinge portions. The coil case has mounting pawls formed thereon. The coil winding is received inside the coil case and the cover flaps are closed, whereby a leakage magnetic field cancellation coil is assembled. The cancellation coil is mounted onto the deflection yoke by engaging the mounting pawls with a part of the deflection yoke. Since the coil case and the cover flaps are formed integrally with each other, the number of component parts is reduced, thereby facilitating manufacture. Further, the size of the cancellation coil is reduced, thereby reducing the material costs, hence, the production costs of the apparatus. Since the cancellation coil can be mounted onto the deflection yoke by a single-step operation utilizing the mounting pawls, the efficiency of the mounting operation is improved.

  • Patent number: 5187444
Abstract: A liquid sensor for detecting, in a non-contact manner, whether an electrolyte solution is flowing through a pipeline. A pair of electrodes, on which an AC voltage is impressed, are mounted on the outer surface of a pipeline formed of a material having a high dielectric constant, such as a ceramic, and a discrimination between the presence and the absence of the electrolyte solution in the pipeline is made based on variations in capacitance between the electrodes. In the presence of the electrolyte solution flowing through the pipeline, the capacitance between the electrodes is high because of the conductivity of the electrolyte solution. In the absence of the electrolyte solution flowing through the pipeline, the capacitance is determined by air and is, therefore, low. Since the electrodes are maintained in a non-contact relation with the electrolyte solution, degradation of characteristics due to corrosion is obviated.

  • Patent number: 5182487
Abstract: A deflection yoke device for deflecting an electron beam traveling in the interior of a CRT. The distribution of a magnetic field supplied by horizontal deflection coils to the interior of the CRT forms a barrel magnetic field on the panel side and the neck side, as viewed from the horizontal deflection coils, and a pin magnetic field in an intermediate space therebetween. The deflection yoke device of the invention is provided with a correction coil on the neck side, as viewed from the horizontal deflection coils so as to correct the neck-side magnetic field produced by the horizontal deflection coils into the barrel magnetic field of a greater intensity. The distortion of a beam focus caused by the pin magnetic field is thereby corrected.

  • Patent number: 5148708
Abstract: A liquid level sensor for detecting a level of an electrolyte where: a pair of resistance films are formed on an insulating substrate: a plurality of electrodes are intermittently mounted on the resistance films in the longitudinal direction; the resistance films are soaked in the electrolyte in the vertical direction along the longitudinal direction; the liquid surface is detected from the variation of the resistance value of the resistance films caused by the short-circuiting of pairs of the electrodes in the electrolyte. The exposed surface of the resistance film is covered by a moisture-resistance film. The result is that undesirable change of resistance value of the resistance film caused by being moistened can be reliably prevented.

  • Patent number: 5128622
Abstract: Disclosed is a multi-channel electrostatic sensor apparatus including a main oscillation circuit; a plurality of pull-in type sub-oscillation circuits which are adapted to synchronize with the main oscillation circuit to generate sub-frequency signals whose frequency is equal to the main oscillation frequency or a multiple thereof; and a plurality of resonance circuits which are sensitive to any change in exterior capacitance when detected by an associated detector for changing its resonator resonance point with respect to the sub-frequency signal. Positive synchronization of the sub-oscillation circuits with the single main oscillation circuit prevents any adverse effect from being caused by the varying stray capacitance in flexible conductors connecting the sub-oscillation circuits to the main oscillation circuit while allowing the relatively free movement of the video heads of a video system, on which video heads the sub-oscillation circuits and subsequent components are attached.

  • Patent number: 5119262
Abstract: A protection circuit against an excessive current in a flyback transformer which supplies a high voltage to a CRT. A fuse and current detecting resistor are inserted on the line which supplies a current to the primary winding of the flyback transformer. The intermediate point of the primary winding and the node of the fuse and current detecting resistor are connected by a semiconductor switching element which becomes conductive when the voltage across the current detecting resistor reaches a certain high voltage. Accordingly, if an excessive current flows in the flyback transformer, the thyristor turns on, causing the fuse to be blown by the large current, whereby the current supply to the flyback transformer can be shut off.
