Abstract: There is provided an apparatus (10) for processing food stuff. The apparatus (10) comprises a container (110) for receiving a food stuff; a food processing unit (120) for processing the food stuff in the container; a force sensor (130) for measuring an operation parameter, and a control unit (140) for operating the food processing unit (120) based on measurements received from the sensor. The sensor is furthermore configured to measure an interaction with the apparatus by a user. The control unit is configured to receive measurements of the user interaction from the sensor (130) and process the received measurements to determine if a predetermined user interaction or a predetermined user interaction pattern corresponding to a user input command has been performed by the user.

Abstract: A method of accessing an account includes receiving randomly generated seed information and an encrypted cryptographic key or token generated by a contactless card using the seed information via a contactless communication between the contactless card and the customer device; determining whether the randomly generated seed information matches previously received seed information; decrypting the encrypted cryptographic key or token using a decryption process that includes the seed information and the encrypted cryptographic key or token as inputs in response to determining that the randomly generated seed information does not match previously received seed information; identifying the customer associated with the contactless card based on the decrypted cryptographic key or token; and providing, to the customer device, access to the account in response to identifying the customer.

Abstract: Data representing ownership of a traditional asset of a first party having a predefined monetary value stored at a first party network node is replicated to a plurality of other party network nodes, including a second party network node, communicably coupled to the first party network node and to one another. Entry of data is received at the first party network node that represents a partition by the first party of the asset of the first party on a non-value axis into at least two non-overlapping assets and a transfer of ownership of one of those two assets to the second party. The data representing the partition of the non-value axis and transfer of ownership of one of the two non-overlapping assets to the second party is replicated to the plurality of other party nodes, including the second party network node.

Abstract: A provider computing system includes one or more processing circuits including one or more processors and one or more memories having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to: receive a new card action from a customer, the new card action prompting a provider to send a new card to the customer; determine that a personal identification number (PIN) has not been set for the new card; determine whether the customer is registered for online access for an account associated with the new card; in response to determining that the customer is registered for the online access, perform an online-based PIN process to set the PIN; and in response to determining that the customer is not registered for the online access, perform a call-based PIN process to set the PIN.

Abstract: Various examples are directed to systems and methods for consolidation application access within a master mobile wallet. The master wallet may be activated using a master password. The master wallet may display a menu of the one or more mobile wallet applications and receive a selection of a particular mobile wallet application to add to the master mobile wallet application. The master wallet may receive a selection to use the master password for activating the particular mobile wallet application. After, the master wallet may receive a selection to activate an added mobile wallet application. The master wallet may activate the added mobile wallet application without requiring user input of an individual password for the particular mobile wallet application during the activating.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for detecting undiagnosed sleep disordered breathing uses daytime sleepiness and nighttime Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) severity. This involves detecting people with excessive daytime sleepiness (and high likelihood of falling asleep during the day) caused by OSA through objective and subjective daytime and nighttime monitoring. Screening is provided for those who are most likely to be suffering a daytime impact of their sleep apnea and thus most likely to respond positively to a potential diagnosis, and notifying these people is also provided.

Abstract: A method and a system for providing event-driven billing that facilitates flexibility and customization for bill generation, payment scheduling, and account reconciliation in relation to consumer financial accounts are provided. The method includes: receiving, from a user, first information that relates to a schedule for generating the bill for the account; extracting, from the first information, at least one criterion for determining the schedule for generating the bill; determining the schedule based on the at least one criterion; and generating the bill based on the determined schedule.

Abstract: A two-dimensional force sensor for measuring a first force in a first direction and a second force in a second direction. The sensor comprises a first resilient plate oriented in the second direction, a first end of the first resilient plate being arranged for being coupled to a reference point; a second resilient plate oriented in the first direction, a first end of the second resilient plate coupled to a second end of the first resilient plate and a measurement probe coupled to a second end of the second resilient plate. The measurement probe is mounted on an extension device mounted to the second end of the second resilient plate. The extension device positions the measurement probe at a position deviating from an imaginary cross-section point of the first resilient plate and the second resilient plate by no more than 20% of a length of the extension device.

Abstract: An optical shape sensing (OSS) system includes a launch fixture configured to receive and secure an optical fiber within a flexible OSS enabled instrument, where the launch fixture includes a docking interface; a launch fixture base configured to be connected to a support structure; and a docking device configured to secure the launch fixture onto the launch fixture base. The docking device includes a launch fixture slot passing through the docking device, and the launch fixture slot is configured to receive and secure the docking interface of the launch fixture through both a top side of the docking device and an opposing bottom side of the docking device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for vulnerability remediation based on a dynamic security model are disclosed. Device connectivity data for an entity external to an identifier entity is received by the identifier entity. A vulnerability is identified and risk-scored based on a property parsed from the device connectivity data. The identifier entity may execute an automatic action to prevent the identifier entity from receiving electronic communications from the affected component of the external entity. Further, based on the risk score meeting various parameters, a hyperlink is generated by the identifier entity and provided to the external entity. The hyperlink may include a remediation executable parametrized using the property parsed from the device connectivity data. The remediation executable may include a reference to a patch structured to remediate the vulnerability. Once the external entity remediates the vulnerability, the external entity may initiate a rescan of its affected component.

Abstract: Systems and methods for predicting and making payments via preferred payment methods include predicting a preferred funds transfer method of a payee, generating a token based on the predicted preferred funds transfer method, providing the token to a payee device, receiving an input from the payee device indicating an agreement with the predicted preferred funds transfer method, and initiating, in response to the input, an electronic funds transfer from a source account of the payer to the payee.

Abstract: A method for monitoring a system is provided. The method includes: displaying, on a graphical user interface, an alert configuration screen that includes user-configurable alerting information items that relate to an application being executed by the system; receiving, from a user in response to the displaying of the alert configuration screen, a request for an alert that includes inputs with respect to the user-configurable alerting information items; monitoring the application to determine whether a current condition of the application conforms to the received inputs; when a determination is made that the current condition of the application conforms to the received inputs, generating the requested alert; and transmitting the generated alert to the user. The user-configurable alerting information items may include items relating to a content of the alert, items relating to a timing of the alert, and an item that relates to an intended recipient of the alert.

Abstract: A common electrically conductive substrate includes substrate portions configured to host semiconductor chips. Adjacent substrate portions have mutually facing sides with elongate sacrificial connecting bars extending between the mutually facing sides. The electrically conductive substrate is cut along a length of the elongate sacrificial connecting bars to provide singulated individual substrate portions. The elongate sacrificial connecting bars are provided with an apertured structure comprising apertures distributed along the length of the elongate sacrificial connecting bars wherein the apertures provide zones of reduced resistance to cutting.

The method includes: identifying at least one failure event associated with the target application based on monitoring of the target application; classifying each of the identified failure events as one from among a labeled failure event and an unlabeled failure event; selecting a recovery solution for the labeled failure event from at least one recovery database; and automatically executing the selected recovery solution on the target application for the labeled failure event.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method comprising receiving a request to execute a transaction transferring transaction data from a first account to a second account associated with a second computing device in communication with a distributed ledger, the request comprising an identification of the first account and the second account; identifying a third account associated with a third computing device in communication with the distributed ledger; retrieving first account data for the first account and third account data for the third account from the distributed ledger; comparing a first value from the first account data and a third value from the third account data to a threshold; determining the transaction satisfies a transaction policy; and generating a record in the distributed ledger indicating the transaction transferring the transaction data from the first account to the second account in response to the determination that the transaction satisfies the transaction policy.

Abstract: A computing system includes a provider computing system comprising a network interface and a processing circuit structured to receive an electronic request related to a job, determine a test requirement for the job, cause a user device to request a test result based on the test requirement, receive an image file of a document from the user device, perform optical character recognition (OCR) on the image file to extract a test result, verify the test result satisfies the test requirement, select at least one worker from a plurality of workers in a business syndicate based on a location and an availability of the at least one worker and on the verification of the test result satisfying the test requirement, transmit an electronic notification to accept the job to the user device, and cause the user device to display the electronic notification.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for novel uses and/or improvements to data aggregation related to artificial intelligence applications, specifically applications related to aggregating time-series data. As one example, systems and methods are described herein for predicting effects when aggregating time-series data and modifying the one or more data streams used to populate a model profile and/or feed an artificial intelligence application with the time-series data.

Abstract: A receiver circuit receives a differential signal that includes positive and negative spikes, and produces an output signal as a function of the differential signal. A first comparator produces an intermediate set signal that includes a pulse at each positive spike of the differential signal, and a second comparator produces an intermediate reset signal that includes a pulse at each negative spike of the differential signal. A logic circuit detects whether the digital signal switches between a first value and a second value, and whether the intermediate reset signal and the intermediate set signal include pulses lasting longer than a threshold. The logic produces a set correction signal and a reset correction signal. The logic circuit produces a corrected set signal and a corrected reset signal. An output circuit produces an output signal based on the corrected set signal and the corrected reset signal.
