Abstract: A metrology system comprises a radiation source, an optical element, first and second detectors, an integrated optical device comprising a multimode waveguide, and a processor. The radiation source generates radiation. The optical element directs radiation toward a target to generate scattered radiation from the target. The first detector receives a first portion of the scattered radiation and generates a first detection signal based on the received first portion. The multimode waveguide interferes a second portion of the scattered radiation using modes of the multimode waveguide. The second detector receives the interfered second portion and generates a second detection signal based on the received interfered second portion. The processor receives the first and second detection signals. The processor analyzes the received first portion, the received interfered second portion, and a propagation property of the multimode waveguide. The processor determines the property of the target based on the analysis.

A method includes receiving a request from a mobile device based on the mobile device navigating to a uniform resource locator (URL) from scanning a code associated with the branch location; receiving, from the mobile device and via one or more selectable fields of a graphical user interface (GUI) depicted on the mobile device, information including identity information regarding a user and a reason for the request; identifying a queue specific to the branch location; and updating the GUI displayed on the mobile device to depict a confirmation page presenting a confirmation notification indicating that the user has been added to the digital queue. The confirmation page may include a dynamic area configured to update automatically, and the method further includes updating a computer at the branch location indicating the user has arrived.

Abstract: A computer system and method for enabling or disabling a payment vehicle at the request of a payment card holder from a remote device. The computer system comprises a computer having memory and a processor for processing input data received from a remote device. The input data comprises an instruction executable by the processor in a form of a text message or electronic mail received from the remote device, with the instruction to enable or disable a payment card of a payment card holder by changing the status of the payment card. A pre-driver circuit generates gate control signals controlling the first, second, third, and fourth transistors in response to a data signal. A controlled timing delay is applied to the timing of logic state transistors for the control signals.

A multifactor identity authentication protocol allows service provider devices to more reliably validate transactions with user devices via an identity system. The identity databank may include passwords, which may be generated by the identity system linked to user accounts and/or service providers. The passwords may be provided to service provider devices, eliminating the need for users to conceive of a multitude of varying passwords for the user’s accounts.

Structured databases may comprise standardized and immutable bytes, each byte linked to a unique data field, a mutable state element, and a mutable activation element. The state element may indicate that there has been a mutation as well as a recency of the mutation. The activation element may indicate whether data pushes and/or data pulls are enabled. The state elements are configured to automatically mutate if there is a mutation in a corresponding unique data field. Each device in the network may transmit API calls as state-element requests to other entity devices in a network. The API call includes at least one byte, without any values in corresponding data fields. State elements are promulgated among devices, without sharing the data fields themselves. An optional central system maintains a record of state elements without storing data field values.

Abstract: This application relates to devices and a method to establish a secure wireless link for communication between a first and a second device over a wireless physical channel, wherein a paring protocol requires sending over the wireless channel identifying information by the first device, identifying information being data suitable for identifying the device sending the identifying information or a user thereof wherein the first device encrypts and transmits the identifying information by using a public key information of the second device and random information, the second device receives the encrypted identifying information and using private key information associated with the public key information it extracts the identifying information. The devices use a secret uniquely related to the identifying information to derive a session key and then use the session key to establish the secure wireless link.
