Abstract: Security control governance can significantly thwart attacks from external data. Inline processing can reduce and limit attack surfaces and enforce validators preselected for applications. Processing and saving data can be controlled based on confirmation that an application has implemented requisite security controls to validate data. The applicability of such a technical improvement to system operations improves the technical operations of most any system with one or more applications that accept potential attack surface items, such as data, data fields, or data types, from “open” or uncontrolled sources.

Abstract: A method for facilitating an audit of an event-based business process is provided. The method includes identifying an application in the event-based business process; initiating a subscription with the identified application; recording a published event based on the subscription; correlating, by using a correlation identifier, the recorded published event with the event-based business process, the correlation identifier including a value that references an event chain; and storing, in a memory, the correlated published event based on an event sourcing pattern. The method further includes determining, by using the correlated published event, an anomaly in the event-based business process; and displaying, via a graphical user interface, a notification that includes information relating to the anomaly and a recommended compensating action.

Abstract: Systems and methods for tokenizing corporate actions are disclosed. In one embodiment, in an information processing apparatus for an issuer comprising at least one computer processor, a method for tokenizing corporate actions, may include (1) generating a plurality tokens for each participating share in an offering, each token associated with an exclusive option for an investor to take in response to the offering; (2) distributing the plurality of tokens to an electronic wallet associated with each investor; (3) receiving one of the plurality of plurality of tokens from an investor; (4) expiring the plurality of tokens that were not received from the investor; and (5) executing the option associated with the received token.

Abstract: Theft identification, prevention, and remedy are provided. A determination is made that a client device has been compromised. When the device makes the determination, a message is conveyed to the server and the server replies with a security challenge. When the server makes the determination, the security challenge is automatically sent to the device. An intelligence manager on the device attempts to answer the security question without interaction from the user. If there is an anomaly, a challenge is output to the user. Based on a false response to the challenge, a current data stream may be disrupted and removed from the device. Further, other devices in the network may be notified about the compromised device.

Abstract: The invention relates to a motion determination device for determining the motion of an object. The motion determination device comprises a magnetic resonance (MR) information providing unit (2, 5) for providing an MR image of the object (6) and for providing non-image MR data of the object which have been acquired at different acquisition times, and a motion determination unit (9) for determining a motion field, which describes the motion of the object (6), depending on the provided non-image MR data acquired at the different acquisition times and the provided MR image. Since the non-image MR data, which are preferentially k-space data, are directly used for determining the motion field, i.e. without an intermediate reconstruction of MR images based on the non-image MR data, the motion field can be determined with a very high temporal resolution.

The rail threader workhead includes a first apparatus for mounting to the end of the rail machine boom and operable to pivot in a vertical pitch direction, a second apparatus extending from the first apparatus and operable to pivot in a horizontal yaw direction, and a third apparatus extending from the second apparatus. The parent blockchain includes a first block including first content, the first block stored at a first location, and a second block stored at a second location different than the first location. The second block includes second content and a first SignerInfo element. The first SignerInfo element includes a hash on the second content, a hash on the first content of the first block, a pointer to the first location of the first block, and a first SignatureValue element generated by digitally signing at least the hash on the second content, the hash on the first content, and the pointer to the first location.

Abstract: A method implemented on an augmented reality (AR) device includes accessing a user's investment strategy and selecting a material object. The material object and investment controls are displayed on a display screen of the AR device. The user alters the investment strategy using the investment controls. Alternative replacement objects are generated based on changes that the user makes to his or her investment strategy. One or more replacement objects are projected onto the display to represent an alternative material object that the user can afford based on the changed investment strategy.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for computing cluster configuration standardization are described herein. Configuration data obtained for a plurality of computing systems may be evaluated. A first computing cluster may be identified based on first configuration data for a first set of computing systems. A second computing cluster may be identified based on second configuration data for a second set of computing systems. A score may be calculated for the second computing cluster based on an evaluation of the second configuration data using the first configuration data. The second computing cluster may be associated with the first computing cluster based on the score. A standard configuration may be selected to be applied to the first set of computing systems and the second set of computing systems using the first configuration data.

Abstract: An audio packet error concealment system includes an encoding unit for encoding an audio signal consisting of a plurality of frames, and an auxiliary information encoding unit for estimating and encoding auxiliary information about a temporal change of power of the audio signal. The auxiliary information is used in packet loss concealment in decoding of the audio signal. The auxiliary information about the temporal change of power may contain a parameter that functionally approximates a plurality of powers of subframes shorter than one frame, or may contain information about a vector obtained by vector quantization of a plurality of powers of subframes shorter than one frame.

Abstract: A system and method for protecting Sensitive Personal Information (SPI) from Multi-Party Access (MPA), including receiving a request for access to a data record, the request comprising an encrypted device identifier identifying the client device, encrypting the data record using a random symmetric key to generate an encrypted data record, encrypting the data record using a second symmetric key to generate a second encrypted data record, the second symmetric key being different from the random symmetric key, encrypting the random symmetric key to generate an encrypted symmetric key by using a public key associated with the client device or a key encryption key associated with the one or more processors, and transmitting a message comprising the encrypted symmetric key and the encrypted device identifier. The message causing the client device to access the data record using a database, the encrypted device identifier, and the encrypted symmetric key.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a method is described. The method comprises obtaining an indication of a speech pattern of a subject and using the indication to determine a predicted time of inspiration by the subject. A machine learning model is used for predicting the relationship between the speech pattern and a breathing pattern of the subject. The machine learning model can then be used to determine the predicted time of inspiration by the subject. The method further comprises controlling delivery of gas to the subject based on the predicted time of inspiration by the subject.

Abstract: A method of predicting a gene target sequence for a gene-modifying therapeutic, such as a CRISPR-based therapeutic, that includes the steps of determining a genomic dataset for one or more infectious bacterial samples isolated from one or more hospitals, and inputting the genomic dataset for the one or more infectious bacterial samples into a machine learning model to determine the presence of antimicrobial resistance genes.

Abstract: A wireless communication system enables one-sided authentication of a responder device (120) by an initiator device (110) and mutual authentication of both devices. Embodiments of the initiator may have a message unit (116) and a state machine (117). The initiator starts by acquiring a responder public key via an out-of-band action and sends an authentication request. The responder sends an authentication response comprising responder authentication data based on a responder private key and a mutual progress status indicative of the mutual authentication being in progress for enabling the responder device to acquire an initiator public key via a responder out-of-band action. The initiator state machine is arranged to provide a mutual authenticating state, engaged upon receiving the mutual progress status, for awaiting mutual authentication. Thereby long time-out periods during wireless communication are avoided, while also enabling the initiator to report communication errors to the user within a short time.

Abstract: A system for detecting sleep apnea uses a PPG sensor for generating a PPG signal. An estimate of respiratory effort is derived from the PPG signal, and from this a respiratory effort signal is derived. Characteristic features are extracted from the respiratory effort signal, and sleep disordered breathing events are detected from the extracted characteristic features. This analysis can distinguish between sleep disordered breathing events and normal breathing during sleep.

Abstract: Systems and methods for a neuromodulation system are provided. In one example, the neuromodulation system includes a stimulation element, a stimulation controller, and a stimulation feedback acquisition system that includes a reference trigger input module configured such that the temporal relationship between a provided stimulation via the stimulation element and the stimulation controller, and a stimulation response received by the stimulation feedback acquisition system can be characterized.
