  • Patent number: 11049129
Abstract: A server system includes a processing circuit comprising a processor and memory. The memory is structured to store instructions that are executable by the processor and cause the processing circuit to receive a payment amount for a transaction of the customer, determine an amount of customer financial rewards available in a customer financial rewards account to fund the payment amount, generate selectable payment options for the payment amount based on the amount of customer financial rewards, transmit the selectable payment options to a customer communication device associated with the customer, and receive a customer selection of at least one of the selectable payment options from the customer communication device. The processing circuit is also caused to transmit a form of payment to the communication device based on the received customer selection.

  • Patent number: 11045082
Abstract: A catheter (12) has an image sensing system (S1-S5) for imaging the interior wall of a passageway in which the catheter is to be located. The catheter has a radial imaging system comprising a light source arrangement for generating a light output radially around the catheter and an image sensor for receiving the generally radial light after the light has been scattered back by the interior wall. The catheter is positioned within the passageway with a known position and orientation, for example a known angle with respect to the anterior-posterior plane along the length of the catheter, so that it is known where along the catheter length, and at which angular position around the catheter, it is close to the passageway wall. The light output has a different intensity at different radial directions and/or the catheter comprises a light transmission arrangement which gives rise to different transmission of the light output at different radial directions.

  • Publication number: 20210192040
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of performing a password challenge in an embedded system. The method includes receiving a password, scrambling the sub-words of the password pursuant to scramble control codes, retrieving a verification word, scrambling the sub-words of the verification word pursuant to the scramble control codes, and comparing the scrambled sub-words of the password to the scrambled sub-words of the verification word. Access to a secure resource is granted if the scrambled sub-words of the password match the scrambled sub-words of the verification word. The scramble control codes cause random reordering of the sub-words of the password and sub-words of the verification word in a same fashion, and insertion of random delays between the comparison of different sub-words of the password to corresponding sub-words of the verification word.

  • Publication number: 20210188503
Abstract: The present disclosure describes speech or sound-emulating bottle cap apparatuses and systems and methods for manufacture thereof. It will be understood that a bottle cap prohibits gases from escaping a pressurized bottle. Ordinarily, when the cap is removed from the bottle, the escaping gas will emit a sound, but the sound carries no discernable meaning, cognizable message or recognizable sound (aside from gas simply escaping a pressurized container). Embodiments described herein harness gas escaping from a bottle (when the cap is removed) to generate a discernable meaning, cognizable message or otherwise recognizable sound. The sound-chamber may be wrapped or twisted into a coil or helix shape (in addition or as an alternative to miniaturizing it). A coil or helix shape permits recovery of the original sound quality of the initially modeled sound-chamber, resulting in “a sound-emitting cap-chamber” removably or permanently coupled to a bottle cap or bottle as described herein.

  • Publication number: 20210185972
Abstract: A milking system includes a milking device, a milk line, and a sampling and analysis device for the milk that includes a control unit, a tape mover to move and unwind a tape wound on a tape reel and with a base material with reagent pads, that detect a substance in the sample, and a dosing device to provide the sample onto a reagent pad, and a sensor to detect radiation from said reagent pad, and to analyse the detected radiation to indicate a presence or concentration of said substance. The reagent pad is facing downward during provision of the sample. In this way, the chance of excess liquid falling from the reagent, and possibly onto a camera, is reduced. Smaller reagent pads may be used, it reduces the chance of supplied liquid spilling over to a neighbouring reagent pad, the measures preventing this spilling may be limited, and it is easier to suck away excess fluid.

Abstract: A system includes a random number generator generating a random number in response to an event. Control logic generates hierarchical part alignment selectors from the random number. For each secure data block to be stored in volatile storage, a physical address of a first logical address for that secure data block is set based upon the hierarchical part alignment selectors. For each data word within that secure data block, a physical address of a first logical address for that data word is set based upon the hierarchical part alignment selectors. For each data byte within that data word, a physical address of a first logical address for that data byte is set based upon the hierarchical part alignment selectors. A physical address of a logical address for a first data bit within that data byte is set based upon the hierarchical part alignment selectors.
