Abstract: A method for rewarding physical activity is disclosed. At a server computer, goal data is received from a user device for a user. The goal data comprises a description of a physical activity for traveling to a location of a retailer within a time goal. The goal data includes a reward to be provided to the user for completing the physical activity within the time goal. User data is received from the user device. The user data includes data from an activity monitor and geolocation data. Based on the user data, a determination is made as to whether the user has completed the physical activity within the time goal. When the determination is made that the user has completed the physical activity within the time goal, the reward is provided to the user.

Abstract: A laminate comprising an abrasion resisting layer that is disposed on a surface of an optically transmissive substrate, wherein the layer comprises a pattern of spatially separated protrusions of an abrasion-resistant material extending away from the surface, and silica interposed between the protrusions. The abrasion-resistant material has a Knoop hardness measured according to ASTM E384 Knoop Hardness Standard that is greater than that of the silica.

Abstract: A coffee roasting apparatus is disclosed comprising a compartment for holding coffee beans, a heating arrangement for heating the coffee beans in the compartment during a roasting process of the coffee beans, a volatile organic compound sensor for determining a total concentration of volatile organic compounds residing in the compartment, and a controller for controlling the heating arrangement. The controller is adapted to determine whether a rate of change in the total concentration of volatile organic compounds exceeds a predefined threshold and control the heating arrangement based on a determination that the rate of change in the total concentration of volatile organic compounds exceeds the predefined threshold. A coffee brewing apparatus including such a coffee roasting apparatus and a coffee roasting method are also disclosed.

A goal for a user may be displayed as an image in a virtual reality scene based on gathered user information. The image representing the goal may be displayed according to a percent of clarity based on the financial amount needed to achieve the goal. The image may be changed based on the amount over a perceived virtual reality time period.
