  • Patent number: 10967530
Abstract: A hair cutting device includes a cutter having a guard moveable relative a blade carrier to vary a cutting length within a cutting length range. The cutter has an actuator moveable between first and second positions to move a follower element and the guard to vary the cutting length between two extreme length settings. The cutter is pivotable relative a housing of the cutting device between an open position and a closed position for cutting. The follower element is configured to cooperate with the actuator so that, when the cutter is in the open position with the follower element and guard in the first position, but the actuator is in the second position, pivoting movement of the cutter to the closed position causes the actuator to drive the follower element and the guard to the second position.

  • Patent number: 10970684
Abstract: Deposited math based currency (“MBC”) is received at a financial institution. A processor of the financial institution receives a deposit request from a customer via a computing device. The request includes a customer private key associated with an amount of MBC to be deposited. The processor creates a first private and public key pair to receive the amount of MBC to be deposited. The processor initiates a transaction in the amount of MBC to be deposited to the first private and public key pair from the customer based on the customer private key. The processor updates a ledger to indicate that the amount of MBC to be deposited was received and is associated with an account of the customer. The ledger includes information relating to a plurality of MBC accounts associated with a plurality of customers. The processor stores the first private and public key pair in a pooled database.

Abstract: A system includes a radiation source, first and second phased arrays, and a detector. The first and second phased arrays include optical elements, a plurality of ports, waveguides, and phase modulators. The optical elements radiate radiation waves. The waveguides guide radiation from a port of the plurality of ports to the optical elements. Phase modulators adjust phases of the radiation waves. One or both of the first and second phased arrays form a first beam and/or a second beam of radiation directed toward a target structure based on the port coupled to the radiation source.
