Abstract: The invention provides an ultrasound data processing method (30) for detecting presence of an intravascular object in a vessel lumen based on analysis of acquired intravascular ultrasound data of the lumen. The method comprises receiving (32) data comprising multiple frames, and each frame containing data for a plurality of radial lines, corresponding to different circumferential positions around the IVUS device body, and reducing (34) the data to a single representative value for each radial line in each frame. These representative values are subsequently processed to derive (36) values for at least each frame representative of a probability of presence of an object within the given frame. Based on the probability values, a region within the data occupied by an intravascular object, for instance a consecutive set of frames occupied by an object, is determined (38).

Abstract: The invention provides a method for guiding the acquisition of an ultrasound image. A 3D ultrasound image is acquired by an ultrasound probe at a first position and an anatomical structure is identified within the 3D ultrasound image. A target imaging plane is estimated based on the identified anatomical structure and it is determined whether the target imaging plane is present within the 3D ultrasound image. If the target imaging plane is present, a displacement between a central plane of the 3D ultrasound image and the target plane is determined. If the displacement is below a predetermined threshold, the target imaging plane is extracted and if the displacement is above the predetermined threshold, an instruction to acquire a 3D ultrasound image with the ultrasound probe at a second position, different from the first position, is generated based on the displacement. The invention further provides a method for estimating a target imaging plane.

Abstract: An apparatus includes an antenna array having a plurality of antennas. The antenna array is configured to receive a multi-carrier signal from a multi-antenna transmitter over a radio channel. The multi-carrier signal has at least two subcarriers, and each subcarrier is mapped at the transmitter to a respective subcarrier-beamformer. The respective subcarrier-beamformers has non-identical null and beam cone directions. A processor is configured to identify a communication direction for a radio signal communication between the apparatus and the transmitter. The communication direction is identified based on one or more specular path components of the radio channel which are related to a null or to a maximum of a subcarrier-beamformer.

Abstract: The invention provides a controller and method for deriving a measure of arterial compliance based on an acquired arterial volume variation signal and an acquired pulse arrival time signal. An oscillometric blood pressure measurement device is used to acquire the arterial volume variation signal. Arterial volume and variation in pulse arrival time are both measured as an applied pressure to an artery are varied by the oscillometric blood pressure measurement device. The arterial volume signal is transformed into a corresponding signal representative of variation in peak-to-peak amplitude of the arterial volume.

Abstract: Systems and methods for activating a transaction card are provided. A method includes: receiving a uniform resource locator (URL) and an encrypted key stored on a contactless transaction card from a first contactless communication between the contactless transaction card and a customer device; decrypting the encrypted key to identify information regarding the contactless transaction card; providing a web site associated with the URL for display, wherein the web site comprises a field automatically populated based on the identified information regarding the contactless transaction card; activating the contactless transaction card in response to verifying the identified information regarding the contactless transaction card; receiving information associated with the contactless transaction card from a second contactless communication between the contactless transaction card and the customer device; and resetting a credential for accessing an account associated with the contactless transaction card.

Abstract: Math-based currency (“MBC”) transactions are inherently quasi-anonymous. Systems and methods of registering customers with a financial institution for the purposes of opening a MBC account are described. During the registration process, the financial institution gathers and stores certain information relating to the customers having MBC accounts. This information may later be used to provide verification of MBC transactions to other parties involved in the MBC transactions.

The central location serves as a central portal where a customer of the financial institution can manage all access to account information and personal information stored at the financial institution. Accordingly, the customer does not need to log into each individual third-party system or customer device to manage previously provided access to the customer information or to provision new access to the customer information. A user additionally is able to have user data and third-party accounts of the user deleted from devices, applications, and third-party systems via a central portal. Restrictions on how user data is used by devices, applications, and third-party systems can be imposed via a central portal.

Abstract: A system includes a processor and an information wallet application stored on machine readable storage media coupled to the processor and including program logic that causes the processor to receive a shopping list from a first information wallet adapter stored on a user computing device, send the shopping list to a second information wallet adapter stored on a merchant computing device, receive merchant data from the second information wallet adapter, wherein the merchant data includes one of price data and quantity data for at least one item included in the shopping list, and send the merchant data to the first information wallet adapter. The system also includes a cloud storage computing system accessible by the information wallet storage application and configured to communicate with the first and second information wallet adapters in order to store and retrieve shopping list data associated with the shopping list.

Abstract: Systems and methods for code repository embedding using attention mechanism for tagging and summarization are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a method for code repository embedding may include: (1) extracting, by a computer program executed by an electronic device, docstring embeddings, code embeddings, and dependency embeddings from scripts in a repository (2) applying, by the computer program, a machine learning algorithm to each of the docstring embeddings, code embeddings, and dependency embeddings; (3) concatenating, by the computer program, outputs of the machine learning algorithm; (4) weighting, by the computer program, the concatenated outputs of the machine learning algorithm using an attention mechanism, resulting in a repository representation comprising an abstract vector; and (5) tagging or summarizing, by the computer program, the script using its repository representation.

Abstract: A controller for reducing noise in an ultrasound environment includes memory that stores instructions; and a processor that executes the instructions. When executed by the processor, the instructions cause the controller to execute a process that includes controlling emission, by an ultrasound probe, of multiple beams each at a different combination of time of emission and angle of emission relative to the ultrasound probe. The process also includes identifying repetitive noise from a first source received with the imaging beams at a sensor on an interventional medical device, including a rate at which the repetitive noise from the first source repeats and times at which the repetitive noise from the first source is received. The process also includes interpolating signals based on the imaging beams received at the sensor to offset the repetitive noise from the first source at the times at which the repetitive noise from the first source is received.

Abstract: Some embodiments are directed to a device (101) for determining a summary of a genomic data entry describing one or more genomic sequences. The summary is for offering the genomic data entry to one or more other parties. The device obtains the genomic data entry and analyse the genomic data entry to verify whether it satisfies one or more predefined properties. The device computes a cryptographic commitment to the genomic data entry. For each satisfied property of the one or more predefined properties, the device constructs a non-interactive zero-knowledge proof (NIZK) proving that the cryptographic commitment commits to a genomic data entry satisfying the satisfied property. The device associates the NIZKs with the cryptographic commitment to obtain a summary of the genomic data entry.

Abstract: Ultrasound image devices, systems, and methods are provided. An ultrasound imaging system includes a communication interface in communication with an ultrasound imaging device. The communication interface receives an ultrasound image of a subject's anatomy. The system includes a processor in communication with the communication interface. The processor applies a predictive network to the ultrasound image to identify a plurality of locations of potential malignancies in the subjects anatomy and determines a plurality of malignancy likelihoods at the plurality of locations of potential malignancies. The processor outputs, to a display in communication with the processor, the plurality of locations of potential malignancies and the plurality of malignancy likelihoods for the plurality of locations of potential malignancies to guide a biopsy determination for the subject's anatomy.
