  • Patent number: 10657679
Abstract: A method includes generating a material landmark images in a low and high energy image domain. The material landmark image estimates a change of a value of an image pixel caused by adding a small amount of a known material to the pixel. The method further includes generating an air values image in the low and high energy image domain. The air values image estimates a value for each image pixel where a value of a pixel is replaced by a value representing air. The method further includes extracting from de-noised low and high images generated from the low and high line integrals, a material composition of each image pixel based on the material landmark images and air values image. The method further includes generating a signal indicative the extracted material composition.

  • Patent number: 10658364
Abstract: According to principles as discussed herein, an EEPROM cell is provided and then, after testing the code, using the exact same architecture, transistors, memory cells, and layout, the EEPROM cell is converted to a read-only memory (“ROM”) cell. This conversion is done on the very same integrated circuit die using the same layout, design, and timing with only a single change in an upper level mask in the memory array. In one embodiment, the mask change is the via mask connecting metal 1 to poly. This allows the flexibility to store the programming code as non-volatile memory code, and then after it has been tested, at time selected by the customer, some or all of that code from a code that can be written to a read-only code that is stored in a ROM cell that is composed the same transistors and having the same layout.

  • Patent number: 10657535
Abstract: Techniques are described for performing secure card not present (CNP) transactions using integrated circuit chip-enabled cards. The techniques include continually or periodically tracking a location of a user's card by a user computing device, e.g., a “smart” phone, and storing a log of datasets relating to the location of the user's card at a server device. Based on the tracking, the user computing device may alert the user via a push notification or other message when the user's card is not within a preset range of the user computing device. In addition, an authentication server determines a location of a purchaser computing device attempting to perform a CNP transaction using the user's card information, and compares the location of the purchaser computing device with a most recent location of the user's card retrieved from the log of datasets to determine whether to approve the CNP transaction.

  • Patent number: 10657774
Abstract: Embodiments of the method for authenticating may include causing an automated teller machine to replace a card verification value with an updated card verification value during a first transaction at the automated teller machine when a re-write condition is present, such as a request from an account holder, a determination that the security of the card was compromised during a prior transaction, a predetermined time interval has lapsed, a predetermined number of transactions have occurred since a previous time the card verification value was rewritten, and according to a predetermined geographical parameter. The updated card verification value may be stored as a current value in a verification value database. The method may include receiving a card verification request related to a second transaction, and authenticating, using verification logic, the second transaction by determining whether the card verification value for the second transaction matches the current value stored in the database.

  • Patent number: 10656227
Abstract: A magnetic resonance examination system is disclosed comprising a field probe system to measure the magnetic field distribution of the main magnetic field and gradient magnetic field. The measurements are made in an earlier configuration and yield the resultant magnetic field due to gradient switching or external causes. From the measured resultant magnetic field the response relation is derived and stored in the memory. The response relation from the memory is available for compensating activation of the gradient fields or correction in reconstruction for the response relation in reconstruction. This compensation or correction can be carried-out in a current configuration. Thus is the current configuration to field probes are needed.
