Abstract: An electronic device disclosed herein includes a locked loop circuit configured to receive a reference signal intended to have an intended frequency, wherein the locked look circuit is intended to generate an intended output signal having an intended frequency equal to the intended frequency multiplied by an intended multiplier. A frequency counter counts a number of pulses of the reference signal during a time window so as to determine an actual frequency of the reference signal. A control circuit determines an actual multiplier for the locked loop circuit that, when multiplied by the actual frequency of the reference signal, causes the locked loop circuit to generate an actual output signal having an actual frequency equal to the intended frequency.
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure are directed to authenticating a user at an electronic computing device. Information is received from a defined zone of an environment surrounding the user. A level of authentication is calculated for the user based on the information from the defined zone of the environment. When the level of authentication is greater than or equal to a predetermined threshold, the user is authenticated at the electronic computing device to perform a requested activity.

Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a system and method for controlling insufflation pressure during inexsufflation of a subject. The system inexsufflates the subject such that tidal flow and/or tidal volume are monitored during insufflation, and insufflation pressure is adjusted to maintain the flow rate of the pressurized flow of breathable gas until a target tidal volume is reached for the insufflation. When the target tidal volume has substantially been reached, the system is causes gas to be evacuated from the airway of the subject. This may provide for more precise, customized therapy for the subject than is provided by conventional inexsufflation systems in which inspiratory flow may not be monitored and/or controlled. In one embodiment, the system comprises one or more of a pressure generator, a subject interface, one or more sensors, a processor, a user interface, electronic storage, and/or other components.

Abstract: Various embodiments relate to a method of receiving an original message, share-holder list, and threshold amount. The original message is tokenized resulting in a tokenized message. A plurality of shares are generated from the tokenized message using a message sharing algorithm of a secret sharing scheme. Each of the plurality of shares is signcrypted using a public key and a private key associated with the shared secret provider computing system and a public key of a respective one of the share-holders included in the share-holders list, resulting in a plurality of signcrypted shares. The plurality of signcrypted shares is distributed to the respective ones of the share-holders according to the public key used to signcrypt the respective signcrypted share. The authenticity and data integrity of each of the plurality of signcrypted shares can be determined by using the public key associated and a public/private key pair associated with the share-holder.

Abstract: A scan chain collects scan chain data from testing of a functional circuit and outputs a scan chain signal containing the scan chain data. A voltage monitor circuit operates to compare a supply voltage against a threshold and assert a reset signal when the supply voltage crosses the threshold. The reset signal resets a flip flop circuit whose output signal controls operation of a logic circuit that blocks passage of the scan chain signal to an integrated circuit probe pad and instead applies a constant logic signal to the probe pad indicating a voltage monitoring error.
Abstract: An electronic device described herein includes a sensing unit having at least one sensor to acquire sensing data. An associated computing device extracts sensor specific features from the sensing data, and generates a motion activity vector, a voice activity vector, and a spatial environment vector as a function of the sensor specific features. The motion activity vector, voice activity vector, and spatial environment vector are processed to determine a base level context of the electronic device relative to its surroundings, with the base level context having aspects each based on the motion activity vector, voice activity vector, and spatial environment vector. Meta level context of the electronic device relative to its surroundings is determined as a function of the base level context, with the meta level context being at least one inference made from at least two aspects of the plurality of aspects of the base level context.

Abstract: Various examples are directed to computer-implemented systems and methods for graphical representation of financial account outflow. The method includes obtaining, by a processor of a computer, a transaction of an account holder including an amount and frequency of the transaction, and categorizing the transaction on a continuum of discretionary spending and fixed expense spending. The transaction is displayed by the processor on a user interface using a graph having an x-axis providing a frequency of the at least one transaction, and a y-axis indicating the categorization of the transaction. The transaction is displayed as a bubble on the graph, where the bubble has a diameter that is proportional to the amount of the transaction.

Abstract: A transmitting device comprises a binaural circuit (601) which provides a plurality of binaural rendering data sets, each binaural rendering data set comprising data representing parameters for a virtual position binaural rendering. Specifically, head related binaural transfer function data may be included in the data sets. A representation circuit (603) provides a representation indication for each of the data sets. The representation indication for a data set is indicative of the representation used by the data set. An output circuit (605) generates a bitstream comprising the data sets and the representation indications. The bitstream is received by a receiver (701) in a receiving device. A selector (703) selects a selected binaural rendering data set based on the representation indications and a capability of the apparatus, and an audio processor (707) processes the audio signal in response to data of the selected binaural rendering data set.

Abstract: An ECG monitoring system for ambulatory patients includes a disposable multi-electrode patch that adhesively attaches to the chest of a patient. A reusable battery-powered ECG monitor clips onto the patch and receives patient electrical signals from the electrodes of the patch. A processor continuously processes received ECG signals and stores the signals in memory in the monitor. The processor also analyzes the received ECG signals for predefined arrhythmia. If an arrhythmia is detected, a bi-directional wireless transceiver in the ECG monitor transmits the event information and an ECG strip to a cellphone handset. The cellphone handset automatically relays the event information and ECG strip to a monitoring center for further diagnosis and necessary intervention.
