Abstract: A medical imaging device allowing easy and robust representation of anatomic structures within a region of interest in a patient body includes an image acquisition device, an image segmentation device, a visualization device and a separate selection button. In an image of the region of interest, anatomic structures may be automatically identified using image segmentation techniques. Therein, not only one but a plurality of candidate images including differently identified anatomic structures is provided. The plurality of candidate images may be visualized on a display sequentially or in an overlying manner. Using the easy accessible and easy to handle separate selection button, a physician may cycle through the plurality of candidate images and manually select one candidate image only by activating the selection button for further exploitation.
Abstract: A method and associated circuits protect data stored in a secure data circuit of a telecommunication device equipped with a near-field communication (NFC) router, a microcontroller, and the secure data circuit. In the method, each message received with the NFC router is parsed to retrieve a communication pipe identifier and an instruction code. The communication pipe identifier and the instruction code are compared to corresponding information in a filter table. Instruction codes of particular messages that attempt to modify a communication pipe by reassigning one end of the communication pipe from the port of the NFC router to a different circuit are acted upon. These messages are blocked from reaching the secure data circuit when the instruction code is not authorized in the filter table, and these messages are permitted when the instruction code is authorized in the filter table.

Abstract: An apparatus for agitating liquid foodstuff, comprising a whisk that includes a magnetic rotor of a brushless electromotor assembly, and a main body including a liquid foodstuff container in which the whisk is receivable such that it is rotatable around a rotation axis thereof, and a stator of the electromotor assembly. The stator is configured to electromagnetically drive the rotor in rotation, and includes at least one magnetic sensor configured to provide a signal that reflects positional changes of the magnetic rotor relative to the magnetic sensor. The main body also includes a controller configured to detect an initial, manually effected rotational movement of the whisk around its rotation axis from the signal of the magnetic sensor, and, once such initial movement of the whisk is detected, to operate the apparatus independent of said initial, movement.
Abstract: A particle sensor uses an electrostatic particle charging section in the form of an ionization chamber. A flow sensor arrangement is used to produce a signal which is representative of the amount of gas flow between the outside of the ionization chamber and the inside of the ionization chamber. This information is indicative of the flow conditions, and can be used to determine when adverse flow conditions are present which may adversely affect the performance or lifetime of the particle sensor.

The method comprises the steps of: acquiring (200) first magnetic resonance data (142) by controlling the magnetic resonance imaging system with pulse sequence instructions (140), reconstructing (202) one or more first image (144) from the first magnetic resonance data, and assigning (204) the one or more first image to a first memory group of a set of memory groups (300).
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the deposition of dopant films, such as doped silicon oxide films, by atomic layer deposition processes. In some embodiments, a substrate in a reaction space is contacted with pulses of a silicon precursor and a dopant precursor, such that the silicon precursor and dopant precursor adsorb on the substrate surface. Oxygen plasma is used to convert the adsorbed silicon precursor and dopant precursor to doped silicon oxide.

Abstract: The present invention relates to phantom device for a dark field imaging system. Although dark field imaging is known to be sensitive to changes in the micro-structure of the tissue of a human subject that may be caused during a disease progression, there may be a need to quantify information provided by an image of the human subject. A detector signal component representing the dark image may be altered by changes of the X-ray spectrum which passes tissue of the human subject comprising micro-structures. This may be caused due to an attenuation of the X-ray radiation previously provided by an X-ray source, wherein the attenuation may be caused by tissue of the human subject, which covers said micro-structure comprising tissue. In order to provide information in clinical practice regarding the influence of attenuation to the X-ray radiation before it passes the micro-structure issue of the human subject, the phantom device for dark field imaging is proposed.
