An example method includes receiving an initial symmetric key shared between the key depot device and a host device. The method also includes receiving seed data shared between the key depot device and the host device. The method also includes establishing a connection to a client device. The method also includes generating, by key derivation circuitry of the key depot device, a first symmetric key based at least on a portion of the seed data. The method also includes causing transmission of the first symmetric key to the client device. The method also includes generating a key allocation indication that identifies an authentication target and comprises an indication of the generation of the first symmetric key. The method also includes causing transmission of the key allocation indication to the host device.

Abstract: A hair-cutting appliance comprising at least 19 hair-cutting units (10), each comprising a guard element (20) and a rotatably arranged hair-cutting element (15) having at least one hair-cutting edge (16), is provided. The hair-cutting units of the hair-cutting appliance are relatively small, a base of the guard element having a diameter in a range of 7 mm to 13 mm. In order to have a relatively small guard element (20) which is of robust and uncomplicated design, and which is capable of contributing to excellent hair-cutting results without causing skin irritation, it is proposed to let both an inner surface (35) and an outer surface (36) of an annular shaving track (30) of the guard element (20) have a conical shape relative to a central axis (21) of the guard element (20), in a similar slanting orientation relative to the central axis (21), in at least a hair-cutting portion of the shaving track (30).

Abstract: The invention relates among others to antibodies comprising a first antigen-binding site that binds Erb B-2 and a second antigen-binding site that binds Erb B-3. The antibodies can typically reduce a ligand-induced receptor function of Erb B-3 on a Erb B-2 and Erb B-3 positive cell. Also described are method for the treatment and use of the antibodies in imaging and in the treatment of subjects having an Erb B-2, Erb B-3 or Erb B-2/3 positive tumor.

The session manager may be configured for managing an edge computing resource in a mobile network, wherein the mobile network comprises edge nodes which are configurable to provide edge computing resources to mobile devices. The session manager may generate a session identifier for the mobile device and associate the session identifier with the mobile device. Later, the session manager may receive a request from the cloud service system for deployment of an edge computing resource for the mobile device on an edge node.

Abstract: An apparatus and methods are provided for a pass-through dongle for accessing and interacting with vehicle performance and status data. The dongle includes a first connector for plugging into an OBD-II connector of a vehicle. A wireless connection may be established between the dongle and a mobile device that provides access to and interactivity with the vehicle performance and status data. A second connector comprising the dongle is configured to receive an auxiliary device that is configured to access vehicle status data by way of the OBD-II connection. The dongle simultaneously establishes the wireless connection with the mobile device and provides the auxiliary device with access to the vehicle performance and status data. In some embodiments, the dongle is configured to operate in conjunction with a vehicle diagnostic communication system that includes a vehicle performance system whereby the vehicle performance and status data may be interactively accessed.

Abstract: Presented are concepts for detecting recurrence of a medical condition in a subject previously treated for the medical condition. One such concept comprises, using natural language processing, extracting information from a data set comprising information relating to the subject prior to and/or during the subject's previous treatment for the medical condition. The extracted information is reformulated into structured data based on a standardized model. A data retrieval request comprising a structured query adhering to a template is obtained and, based on the structured query of the data retrieval request, data is retrieved from the structured data.

Abstract: Systems and methods for securing and adding sensitive information in a block chain are disclosed. One disclosed method includes receiving private user information, validating the private user information, generating a user block on a block chain, generating a private user key and an enterprise key, receiving a request from a user for a service, authenticating the private user key and enterprise key through consensus, hashing a block with service information, and linking the service block to the user block.

According to one embodiment, a method for building and publishing schemas may include: (1) accessing, by a schema recommendation program executed by a computer processor, a plurality of ingested objects in an object store; (2) extracting, by a data crawler, metadata from each of the plurality of ingested objects, wherein the metadata is related to a schema for the object and comprises an object name, a field name, and a field type; (3) identifying, by the data crawler, a plurality of potential schemas for the plurality of ingested objects based on the metadata; (4) receiving, by the schema recommendation program, a selection of one of the plurality of potential schemas; and (5) publishing, by the schema recommendation program, the selected potential schema to a catalog store.

Abstract: Disclosed are example methods, systems, and devices that allow for the generation and provisioning of digital credentials, which may demonstrate that a trusted entity has validated individual identity attributes, or sets of attributes, of a user. Digital credentials may also demonstrate one or more extrapolations resulting from deductions or inductions from validated identity attributes. A receiver device may indicate which identity attributes or extrapolations are sought by displaying a QR or other code and/or via a transmission using NFC or other wireless communication, and a user device may access corresponding digital attributes in an ID wallet to be provisioned via code or transmission. Digital credentials may restrict uses and usability of identity attributes. Cryptographic keys and/or distributed ledger records may allow recipients to verify authenticity of digital credentials. The same identity attribute may be proven by showing validation by multiple selectable trusted entities.
