  • Patent number: 12141631
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for novel uses and/or improvements for using artificial intelligence to determine whether an image is valid and/or formatted appropriately for printing onto a physical object. An image validation system may receive an image, for example, from a user. The image may be received in order to print the image onto a physical object. When the image is received, the validation system may use a first machine learning model to format the image appropriately and then use another machine learning model to determine whether the image has an appropriate context (e.g., no violence). Based on that determination, the validation system may either send the image for printing or try to remove the offending content from the image.

  • Patent number: 12143635
Abstract: An encoder, decoder, encoding method and decoding method for 3DoF+ video are disclosed. The encoding method comprises receiving (110) multi-view image or video data comprising a basic view and at least a first additional view of a scene. The method proceeds by identifying (220) pixels in the first additional view that need to be encoded because they contain scene-content that is not visible in the basic view. The first additional view is divided (230) into a plurality of first blocks of pixels. First blocks containing at least one of the identified pixels are retained (240); and first blocks that contain none of the identified pixels are discarded. The retained blocks are rearranged (250) so that they are contiguous in at least one dimension. A packed additional view is generated (260) from the rearranged first retained blocks and encoded (264).

  • Patent number: 12140111
Abstract: A combined mass airflow sensor and hydrocarbon trap is provided for absorbing evaporative hydrocarbon emissions from an air intake duct of an internal combustion engine. The combined mass airflow sensor and hydrocarbon trap comprises a duct that supports a hydrocarbon absorbing sheet in an unfolded configuration within a housing. The duct communicates an airstream from an air filter to the air intake duct during operation of the internal combustion engine. An opening in the housing receives a mass airflow sensor into the duct, such that the mass airflow sensor is disposed within the airstream. Guide vanes extending across the duct reduce air turbulence within the airstream passing by the mass airflow sensor. Ports disposed along the duct allow the evaporative hydrocarbon emissions to be drawn into the interior and arrested by the hydrocarbon absorbing sheet when the internal combustion engine is not operating.
