Abstract: A system is provided for efficiently gelating and injecting a constant amount of biopolymer powder for effectively using biopolymer in sealing, stanching, and prevention of adhesion of a post-surgical site. Powder transfer line 320 for transferring biopolymer powder atomized with the pressure of noninflammable gas in powder agitating container 220, and transfer lines 310, 330 for separately transferring noninflammable gas and solution separately from the powder transfer line 320, are joined at the tip of nozzle attachment 400 for injecting a mixture of the biopolymer powder and the noninflammable gas, together with the noninflammable gas and the solution.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dental water heater. The water heater has a columnar body, and the body includes heating means extending in the axial direction of the body, and a plurality of layers of water channel sections arranged around the heating means. Each of the water channel sections spirally extends in the axial direction of the body. The adjacent pairs of the water channel sections are communicated either at upper or lower end portions thereof so as to together form a whole water channel. The whole water channel has an inlet and an outlet for water to be heated, so that water is supplied through the inlet, passed through the entire length of the whole water channel, and taken out as warmed water through the outlet.
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide an angle setting tool for setting the blade section of a hand scaler at a predetermined angle during sharpening of the scaler, and a hand scaler sharpening device which has a relatively simple structure, is easy to operate and do maintenance, and reduces complexity in the sharpening operation. This object is achieved by a hand scaler sharpening device including a sharpener main body having a grind stone (50) provided for reciprocating motion, and an angle setting tool (41) for setting the tip of a hand scaler at one of a plurality of predetermined angles on the grind stone (50), wherein the angle setting tool (41) has a plurality of inclined surfaces (42a, 43a, 44a) corresponding to the predetermined angles.
Abstract: The present invention relates to dental apparatus including a fluid reservoir having a connection part, and a fluid reservoir receptor section having a reception part. The connection part includes a cylindrical member, a shaft member slidably arranged through the cylindrical member, and having a channel, a fluid passage defined between the channel and the cylindrical member, and an air passage formed in the cylindrical member for taking external air in. The openings of the fluid and air passages are openable by sliding the shaft member. The reception part includes a passage, a valve in the opening of the passage for taking external air in, and a releaser member for sliding the shaft member to open the openings of the fluid and air passages when the fluid reservoir is installed on the fluid reservoir receptor section.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dental head unit capable of measuring a root canal length of a patient. The head unit includes a head section having a sleeve rotatably supported therein for detachably holding a cutting tool therein, a neck section extending proximally from the head section and having a proximal end for connecting to a handpiece body, a contact capable of detachably contacting the cutting tool for providing electric connection to the cutting tool when in contact, and a contact holder fixed to a proximal end of the contact and axially slidable with respect to the neck section. The contact holder has a lead attachment to which a lead for electrically connecting the contact to a root canal length measuring device is detachably attached. The present invention also relates to a contact holder assembly including the contact and the contact holder.
Abstract: A dental handpiece is disclosed, which includes a tool holder for receiving and detachably holding a dental treatment tool therein, and a tubular compressor disposed around the tool holder. The tubular compressor has a flared inner surface along a portion of its length. The tool holder and the tubular compressor are relatively slidable with respect to each other between tool holding and releasing positions. The tool holder has a plurality of integral presser tongues. Each of the presser tongues is partially separate from the tool holder with a slit to have a free tip and a connecting root with a reduced thickness. The flared inner surface of the tubular compressor elastically urges the tongues into pressure contact with the dental treatment tool to securely hold the tool in position, when the tool holder and the tubular compressor are in the tool holding position.
