    Abstract: A method for three-dimensional data acquisition, adapted to acquire three-dimensional data of an object, includes the following steps. A laser light is projected onto a plurality of regions on the surface of the object so as to form a plurality of features within each of the regions. For each of the regions, the object and the features are captured from a first direction and a second direction simultaneously so as to generate a first object image corresponding to the first direction and a second object image corresponding to the second direction. For each of the regions, the first object image and the second object image are processed so as to obtain the two-dimensional coordinates of the features therein. The three-dimensional data of the object is obtained according to the two-dimensional data of the features in the first object image and the second object image corresponding to each of the regions.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses the combined treatment of memantine (N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor antagonist) and tea polyphenol (an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent) is more effective (synergistic) in neuroprotection than either memantine or tea polyphenol alone in mouse excitotoxic injury. These findings provide useful information about the potential application of memantine and tea polyphenols in preventing or treating clinical excitotoxic injury such as brain trauma, brain ischemia, epilepsy, and Alzheimer's disease.

    Abstract: A method of calibrating ultrasound velocity is provided, including receiving an ultrasound non-delayed data set; performing a beam-forming process on the ultrasound non-delayed data set with a plurality of velocities to generate a plurality of aperture images; performing an MAE (Mean Absolute Error) process to obtain a velocity and two sub-aperture images corresponding to an MAE value located within an MAE range; finding a first sub-aperture and a second sub-aperture corresponding to the two sub-aperture images, generating a first aperture image and a second aperture image with corresponding velocity; performing the MAE process on the first aperture image and the second aperture image to generate an image error corresponding figure having an error curve; finding a trend curve according to the error curve; and finding a lowest point of MAE value on the trend curve and finding a velocity correspondingly to obtain the calibrated ultrasound velocity.

The filter receives and filtering the analog sub-array beam signal. The analog-to-digital converter converts the analog sub-array beam signal filtered by the filter into a digital sub-array beam signal. The image processing module receives the digital sub-array beam signal so as to generate an ultrasonic image of the motion of the object.

    Abstract: An image segmentation system for performing image segmentation on an image data includes an image preprocessing module, a motion analyzing module, a detection module, a classification module, and a multi-dimensional detection module. The image data has a plurality of image stacks ordered chronologically that respectively have a plurality of images sequentially ordered according to spatial levels, wherein one spatial level is designated as a first stack. The image preprocessing module transforms the images into binary images while the motion analyzing module finds a repeating pattern in the binary images in the first stack and accordingly generates a repeating motion result. The classification module generates a classification result based on a spatial and an anatomical assumption to classify objects. The multi-dimensional detection module generates segmentation results for stacks above and below the first stack using spatial and temporal consistency of geometric layouts of object structures.
