Abstract: A rotary electric machine includes a rotor core, a stator, a field yoke, and a field winding. The rotor core is fixed to a rotary shaft, which includes a magnetic body for forming a magnetic path, and magnetic salient poles. The stator has teeth and a stator winding wound around the teeth by concentrated winding. A slot is formed between adjacent ones of the teeth in a circumferential direction. The field yoke magnetically connects the stator and the magnetic body. The field winding is located in proximity to at least one of the winding ends of the stator winding in an axial direction of the rotary shaft. The field winding generates a magnetic pole on the magnetic salient poles when energized.

  • Publication number: 20120209146
Abstract: An aspiration chamber is provided with an aspiration aperture, having a shape in which a width becomes larger from one edge toward another edge, and aspirates soft tissue through the aspiration aperture. A deformation amount measurement portion measures aspiration deformation amounts of the soft tissue within the aspiration aperture along a virtual line from the one edge to another edge. Based on the aspiration deformation amounts that have been measured by the deformation amount measurement portion, a computer uses a finite element model of the soft tissue to derive an approximation equation according to a numerical function for the aspiration deformation amounts and positions on the virtual line and determines a distribution of elasticity from the surface of the soft tissue into its interior by substituting parameters of the approximation equation into estimation equations that are derived by assuming that the deformation along the virtual line reflects elasticity distribution parameters.

Abstract: A tactile device of a tactile display slides above an object. The tactile device comprises three rods which are free to move up and down. Lower ends of the rods are in contact with a surface of the object. Upper ends of respective rods touch a palmar-side skin equivalent to positions of three joints of a first finger or a second finger. When the tactile device is slid, upper ends of respective rods move up and down in accordance with a surface relief of the object. In response to the movement of the tactile device, the three rods push three finger joint positions of the palmar-side skin with a stroke equal to a height of the relief.

Abstract: Three-dimensional information is presented directly on the surface of a target three-dimensional object without using a display device such as a display monitor and an HUD. Spatially coded light patterns are projected from two projectors on a target object surface. The light projected from the two projectors are added up on the object surface to produce unified color and luminance. On the object surface, light is simply added up, so that a pattern whose color and brightness correspond to distance and height appears. Hence, a distance to an object or a three-dimensional shape of an object can be highlighted by the color and brightness presented on the object for perception by human beings.
