The time (e.g., pre-roll time) between the event trigger message and its corresponding event may be modified, based on rules, to provide a network operator, service provider or downstream recipient more (or less) time to prepare for the event. This may be accomplished by moving the event trigger to an earlier (or later) location in the stream, and/or editing the event trigger to indicate the different pre-roll time.

Abstract: A non-transitory, computer-readable medium includes instructions, that, when executed, cause processing circuitry to receive, from an electronic device, a request regarding a custom segment defined by a first Boolean expression of a plurality of segments having elements corresponding to, or representative of, one or more electronic devices and/or one or more users of the one or more electronic devices. The instructions, when executed, also cause the processing circuitry to generate a different, second Boolean expression based on the first Boolean expression and the plurality of segments. Abstract: A streaming media system and streaming format that uses a streamlined JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) manifest to enable improved streaming performance over existing streaming formats. The JSON manifest includes global objects that define certain unique (e.g., non-redundant, non-duplicative) global parameters that can pertain to any or all of the audio/video segments, along with a corresponding unique identifier to refer to the global object. The JSON schema also includes respective local objects that define local parameters for each of the audio/video segments, including one or more parameters that refer to a global object using the unique identifier of the global object, as opposed to duplicating information of the global object within the audio/video information objects themselves.

Abstract: Broadcasts over designated bands of the radiofrequency spectrum allow for flexible use of the spectrum as well as for the receipt of return signals from receivers. To obtain return signals, information indicating one or more return channels and/or one or more return time windows may be sent with the broadcast transmission. The broadcast transmission may be made over UHF bands, with the return signals being made over VHF bands. Spectrum may be utilized more efficiently by transmitting one or more beacon signals that define parameters for the broadcast transmission. Receivers may be adapted to decode the data of the beacon signals and rapidly tune to the broadcast transmission.

Abstract: An improved system and an improved method are provided for organizing and managing a dataset using an ordinal system based on an optimized indexing tree, such as a Stern-Brocot tree. The ordinal system employs unique fractional numbers in the Stern-Brocot tree as indices, which are assigned to data entries of the dataset to locate and access these data entries quickly. Thus, the present disclosure provides an improved data management strategy with improved space complexity, improved comparison operation performance, simplified implementation, and reduced storage growth size/rate, compared to its predecessors.

A method may include intercepting, via a logging system, one or more ad requests to be satisfied by an ad server. Data of the ad requests is logged, via the logging system. The request is forwarded to the ad server, which may respond with an ad server response that may also be logged by the logging system.

Abstract: A dynamic and selective tone mapping system that receives digital imagery content and adjusts the digital imagery content using defined perceptual point parameters that correspond to particular luminance points or regions of the digital imagery content. The defined perceptual point parameters include a first white reference value, wherein the tone mapping system adjusts the digital imagery content by compressing luminance values above the first white reference value at different compression rates to produce digital imagery content that is compatible with various media viewing devices with varying display brightness capabilities while preserving influence over the intended look of the displayed image resulting from the digital imagery content.

Abstract: Techniques are provided herein for efficient packaging of digital content. In particular, at least a portion of generated segments of digital content are used in both a single-key encrypted implementation of the content and a multi-key implementation of the content. This may result in content packaging processing and storage efficiencies.

The method includes: receiving a request to connect the remote source and the control room; and in response to receiving the request, determining an input/output mapping between the remote source and the control room. A confidence tool of an automated quality control system may receive a request to analyze a tag indicating content to be presented by a content presentation service. The tag may be indicative of a link to the content and a tracking pixel associated with the content. The confidence tool may determine whether the tag meets criteria (e.g., pixel whitelisting criteria, specification of a content presentation service). The confidence tool may notify a user whether the tag meets the criteria to prevent problematic content from being presented by the content presentation service.

Simulating content streaming based on the historical network conditions and the streaming algorithm may include identifying a version of a fragment of content to be used in the simulated content streaming, simulating a download finish event of the fragment, and simulating a buffer level adjustment based on the simulated complete download of the fragment of the content. In response to performing the simulated content streaming, the computer-implemented method may report information associated with the simulated content streaming, thus enables measuring performance impact of player code change before deploying the updated player to production environment with neither conventional video nor audio playback.
