Abstract: A transaction terminal includes a vertically integrated bagging weigh scale and a vertically integrated scanner. The scale includes two posts that extend horizontally out from the terminal and upon which a bag hangs. Items placed in the bag cause displacement of the posts and/or pressure detected on the posts resulting in a recorded weight by a weight sensor of the scale. A current recorded weight of the bag is reported from the scale to the terminal during a transaction as each item is placed into the bag. The terminal uses the item weights to record prices for those items sold by weight and to verify that items scanned by the scanner and placed in the bag have expected weights for those items.

Abstract: Techniques for secure mobile payment are provided. A credit or gift card is registered for additional security, such that a secure identifier or personal identification number (PIN) is required for use of the credit or gift card. Registration is not required or even known by the third-party payment service associated with the card. Subsequently, when a consumer attempts to use the card and before payment instructions are sent to the corresponding third-party payment service, the secure identifier or PIN is requested and verified. If properly verified, the payment instructions are forwarded for processing by the third-party payment service.

Abstract: Software executing on a mobile device collects custom metadata for an image taken by a camera of a mobile device. The image with the custom metadata is sent from the software to an external network service. The external network service processes the custom metadata to at least determine a physical location of the image. In an embodiment, the physical location is used to uniquely identify the image and perform an automated transaction on behalf of a user that operates the mobile device.

Abstract: A mobile-based control of maintenance and support for an enterprise services device. A mobile application of a mobile device establishes a connection with a network portal that supplies maintenance and support for enterprise services hosted by the enterprise services device. The mobile application also establishes a connection with the enterprise services device. The mobile application presents a user-facing interfaces for controlling maintenance and support operations delivered from the network portal to the enterprises services device. The user-facing interface also provides options for authorizing and facilitating a remote connection from a portal device to the enterprise services device for performing real-time and remote maintenance and support by a service engineer associated with the network portal.

Abstract: Cameras capture time-stamped images of predefined areas. Individuals and items are tracked in the images. Occluded items detected in the images are preprocessed to remove pixels associated with occluded information and the pixels remaining associated with the items are cropped. The preprocessed and cropped images are provided to a trained machine-learning algorithm or a trained neural network trained to classify and identify the items. Output received from the trained neural network provides item identifiers for the items that are present in the original images.

Abstract: Hardware controls associated with features of a scanner are removed, and a combined scanner and transaction terminal is provided without the hardware controls. Operations associated with the removed hardware controls are graphically depicted as selectable window options within scanner-generated windows. The scanner generated windows are provided as a projected human interface for the missing hardware controls. The projected human interface is provided with and accessible from a display that includes transaction windows produced by transaction software of the transaction terminal, such that the selectable window options are always accessible from the display during transaction processing performed by the transaction software.

Abstract: A user authorizes cross-platform interlinking or user data. The cross-platforms are mined for user-authorized data. The data is processed into graph data and metrics data. The graph data is presented as an interactive graph interface to a user that responds to user selections/directions to provide user-defined views and levels of detail.

Abstract: A request for access to a user's account is made to an authenticator. The authenticator sends a request for access to the user associated with the user's account. In response to user authorization, the authenticator sends an access link to a service engineer. The service engineer access the link to access the user's account with limited and restricted access. When a remote service session associated with the activated access link is terminated, the authenticator sends a termination of session notice to the user.

One such embodiment, in the form of a method, includes receiving a dataset including scan data from a particular scanning device and adding data to the received dataset identifying at least one of the particular scanning device and a type of the particular scanning device. The method may further send the dataset to a terminal for processing.

The analyzer labels the information and normalizes the labeled information into a model format. The analyzer reports the model format to a problem identifier/resolver. The problem identifier/resolver identifies a closest likely problem and a resolution for that closest likely problem based on the labeled information in the model format and reports the likely problem and resolution back to the analyzer for resolution on the transaction terminal.

Abstract: Transaction information for a card transaction is automatically and selectively rendered to a screen of a display presented to a user. The user can edit zero or more operators and selected values provided in the screen and save any such edits. When saved, the transaction information and any edited operators and/or selected values are used to generate a rule for a fraud detection system for immediate application. Subsequent card transactions are evaluated in view of the generated rule to automatically detect any fraudulent transactions present in the card transactions.

Abstract: When a consumer carrying a device is automatically detected within a pre-defined and constrained space, ticket identifying information is automatically obtained from the device and relayed to a backend ticket redemption server. The ticket redemption server validates a ticket for the consumer from the ticket-identifying information and relays a confirmation to a ticket redemption agent's device and the consumer is checked-in for ingress onto a transportation system or into a venue destination of the consumer.

Abstract: A method includes receiving selection of an audible audio clip by a user, receiving transaction details including an indication of an amount and an identification of an account number associated with the user and corresponding to a pre-staged transaction, encoding the transaction details into an inaudible audio clip, and combining the audible audio clip and the inaudible audio clip into a transferrable audio file that when played, identifies the pre-staged transaction for execution. The pre-staged transaction may be initiated by receiving an audio rendering of the audio file, determining a duration and a size of the audible portion, decoding the inaudible portion to determine transaction details, including an amount and account identification, and the duration and size of the audible portion, validating the transaction based on the decoded and determined duration and size of the audible portion matching, and executing the transaction responsive to validation and the decoded transaction details.

Abstract: A mobile device includes an originally downloaded mobile application. When a location of the mobile device is detected within a configured distance of a target enterprise store location, configuration data for the target enterprise's mobile application and services are obtained and automatically sent to the mobile device. The configuration data is applied to the original mobile application. When the user launches the original mobile application from the mobile device, the executing instance of the mobile application is transformed into the target enterprise's mobile application connected to the target enterprise's mobile application services server. The executing instance of the mobile application includes the branding, design, features, and workflow of the target enterprise's mobile application.

Abstract: A dual-control security procedure is initiated, and a first person is identified for the procedure. The first person is authenticated and a remote agent that is remotely located is requested to participate in the procedure. Actions/behaviors of at least the first person are monitored from the video in accordance with the procedure and provided in real-time to the remote agent. An audit log is written to upon the conclusion of the procedure. The audit log at least comprising: identifiers for the first person and the remote agent, a procedure identifier for the procedure, an asset/area identifier associated with the procedure, a zone identifier for a location within an establishment, action identifiers for the actions, behavior identifiers for the behaviors, violation identifiers for any violations detected during the procedure, and a link to a video clip from the video that corresponds to at least the first person performing the procedure.

Abstract: Various embodiments herein each include at least one of systems, methods, software, and data structures for context-aided machine vision. For example, one method embodiment includes identifying a customer in a shopping area and maintaining an item bin in a computing system of data identifying items the customer has picked up for purchase. This method further includes receiving an image of the customer holding an item and performing item identification processing on the image to identify the item the customer is holding. The item identification processing may be performed based in part on a stored shopping history of the customer indicating items the customer is more likely to purchase. The identified item is then added to the item bin of the customer.
