Abstract: A system and method for traffic prediction based on space-time relation are disclosed. The system comprises a section spatial influence determining section for determining, for each of a plurality of sections to be predicted, spatial influences on the section by its neighboring sections; a traffic prediction model establishment section for establishing, for each of the plurality of sections to be predicted, a traffic prediction model by using the determined spatial influences and historical traffic data of the plurality of sections; and a traffic prediction section for predicting traffic of each of the plurality of sections to be predicted for a future time period by using real-time traffic data and the traffic prediction model. An apparatus and method for determining spatial influences among sections, as well as an apparatus and method for traffic prediction, are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for conversion of traffic information based on traffic information element knowledge base are provided. According to the present invention, a road network is described using roads, intersections and sections as traffic information elements and a correspondence between these elements and a road topological network in a digital map is established, so that a universal traffic information describing model, which is compatible with language used in people's daily life, can be established. Further, a traffic information element knowledge base can be generated based on the roads, intersections and sections, their respective attributes and the relationship between them, to support inter-conversion between road topological network traffic information and text-based traffic information.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for requesting for location information of resources on a P2P network, user node and server for the same, which allow a user to get network resources quickly. The popular files and the unpopular files are managed separately. The metadata of popular files are stored a plurality of SN based on respective areas, while the metadata of the unpopular files are stored and queried in a centralized manner. A function of redirecting a request message is added into the SN so as to inform the user the existence of a SN-R. Meanwhile, in order to improve query efficiency and avoid repeatedly redirecting of the message, a server routing table is provided for the user node which can indicate which files need to be download and which server should be requested to provide the files.

Abstract: The invention provides a tag identification system, a tag reading apparatus, and a method for determining sequence of tags. According to an aspect of the invention, a tag identification system comprises a tag reading apparatus and a plurality of tags, wherein: the tag reading apparatus has at least two antennas, wherein the apparatus transmits an interrogation signal within the coverage of each of the antennas; the plurality of tags sequentially pass by the coverage of each of the at least two antennas, each of the plurality of tags returning a reply to the at least two antennas in response to a received interrogation signal; and the tag reading apparatus includes a sequence determination unit which determines the sequence in which the plurality of tags pass by based on replies returned from the plurality of tags and received by the at least two antennas.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods and systems for converting a desktop application to a Web application. The method comprises: inputting, at a client side, URL of a desired desktop application and sending it to a server; the server providing a code conversion tool (e.g. JavaScript code) to the client and loading the desktop application; at the server, extracting interface information of the loaded desktop application, wrapping the interface information to data in an interface descriptive language format (e.g. XML data), and sending the wrapped data back to the client; and at the client, parsing the XML data by utilizing the code conversion tool to generate relevant webpage elements (e.g. HTML data), so as to display the desktop application. In another embodiment, the server can directly run the code conversion tool to implement the code conversion from XML data to HTML webpage elements.

Abstract: Methods, devices and systems for generating a plurality of public keys from one private key with the same generator of a group are described. A public key cryptosystem is also disclosed for generating a plurality of anonymous public keys all of which relate to the same party used for secure communications. Those anonymous public keys are generated using the same generator from one single private key. With the invention, computation is reduced, memory can be saved and security level can be improved.

Abstract: The present invention proposes a temporally-controlled item recommendation method and system based on rating prediction. According to this invention, the item recommendation method comprises inputting an item to be recommended; determining a temporal rating model related to the item, the temporal rating model being used to predict variation of the rating of the item with time; applying one or more recommendation strategies to the determined temporal rating model to determine optimal recommendation times of the item; and recommending the item to a user at the determined optimal recommendation times. In different embodiments, the temporal rating model of the item can be selected from a set of pre-stored temporal rating models or automatically generated according to history data in the system. In addition, the selected temporal rating model can be adjusted in accordance with user preference information or user feedback information.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide not only a technical solution for calibrating a positioning device but also a technical solution for characterizing an area of interest in a space. Specifically, there is provided a system, which may comprise: a tag capable of emitting ranging signals, placed at location points which are selected as space feature points in the space; a positioning device in said space, configured to obtain relative coordinates of said space feature points in relation to the positioning device based on the ranging signals from the tag; and a server, configured to determine location parameters of said positioning device in said space based on said relative coordinates, so as to calibrate said positioning device. Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for ciphertext indexing and searching. Indices of multiple levels are created for the encrypted files. Each item in the primary index includes a primary index item identifier and the ciphertext of the primary indexing information of the related file. The primary indexing information each includes an identifier(s) of the related secondary index item identifier(s) and the corresponding decryption information. Each item in the secondary index includes a secondary index item identifier and the ciphertext of the secondary indexing information. Information necessary for obtaining a file is included in the corresponding secondary indexing information. With the decryption information of the secondary indexing information in the decrypted primary indexing information, the ciphertext of the related secondary indexing information is decrypted so as to obtain information such as the decryption key of the file.

Abstract: The present invention proposes a proportional fairness scheduler used in a base station, which is applicable to a high mobility environment, the scheduler comprising: a correction factor estimator which, for each user equipment in a serving cell of the base station, estimates a correction factor for an instantaneous transmission rate for a next frame according to a statistical result on changes in a channel quality in a current frame; a metric calculator which, for each user equipment in the serving cell of the base station, calculates a metric based on the instantaneous transmission rate for the user equipment, the estimated correction factor and a history throughput recorded for the user equipment; and a transmission opportunity granter which grants a transmission opportunity in the next frame to a user equipment having the optimal metric out of all the user equipments. The method comprises: inputting a target entity; retrieving information objects related to the target entity from an information object set; extracting topics related to the target entity; searching an existing structure resource to identify existing structures and entities which are relevant to the target entity based on the extracted topics; and selecting a matched structure, which is used for organizing the retrieved information objects related to the target entity, from the identified existing structures by comparing the target entity with each of the identified entities. Compared with the prior arts, the present invention can largely improve the readability of the relevant generated information organization structure.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for generating index as well as a search method and a search apparatus. Index entry comprises at least a search item identifier corresponding to a search item, one or a plurality of index items generated from one or plural pieces of search information, and an accumulator for the search information. The accumulator is generated by accumulating the search information, or accumulating ciphertext of information containing the search information, or accumulating data mapped from information containing the search information. At the time of searching, the index items and the accumulator are provided to a searcher. The searcher extracts search information from the index items and checks whether the extracted search information is complete by using the accumulator. In one embodiment, the accumulator is incorporated in an encrypted inverted index.

The method comprises the steps of: the core network controller issuing a measurement request to a communication node working on a service channel; the communication node switching to a non-service channel based on the measurement request; the communication node broadcasting a measurement beacon in the non-service channel and returning to the service channel immediately after the broadcasting; a node in the non-service channel receiving the measurement beacon; and based on the measurement beacon, calculating the received signal strength indicator (RSSI) from the communication node to the node in the non-service channel.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for automatic objects classification. The method comprises: acquiring a set of objects; classifying the objects based on query log to generate a first classification result; classifying the objects based on ontological information to generate a second classification result; and semantically fusing the first and second classification results to generate a final classification result. According to the present invention, compared with the prior arts, by semantically fusing the query log-based classification result and the ontology-based classification result, the accuracy and user-friendness of the object classification can be improved.
