Abstract: In a display device that is daisy-chained to a source device that outputs a video signal, and transmits an encryption key (KSV) used for encryption to source device, the display device includes storage to store the encryption key of an own display device (first device KSV), and the encryption keys (second device KSV, third device KSV) of all of downstream side display devices that are provided on a downstream side of the own display device among all of the other display devices that are daisy-chained, the encryption keys being transmitted to source device through its own display device when the display devices are daisy-chained to source device, and causes a display to form a split video image that is a part of a video image based on the number of splits of the video image corresponding to the video signal and the number of encryption keys stored.
Abstract: A laser light source includes; a plurality of laser devices that emit respectively different colors of laser light; a plurality of optical sensors that respectively detect the brightness of the plurality of colored lights; and a control unit that controls the brightness of each of the plurality of colored lights so that the detected values from the plurality of optical sensors become detection target values of brightness of the plurality of colored lights respectively corresponding to the brightness of synthesized light that is obtained by synthesizing the plurality of colored lights. If at least one of the detected values of the plurality of optical sensors cannot be controlled to be the detection target value, the control unit modifies all of the detection target values at the same proportion and controls the brightness of each of the plurality of colored lights to become the detection target values that were modified.
Abstract: A display device includes: a video display unit, an optical detection unit that measures the display realized by the video display unit; and a control unit that, upon receiving a measurement start time at which the optical detection unit carries out measurement, turns on the power source of the video display unit a first predetermined time interval before the measurement start time, and causes the optical detection unit to perform the measurement at the measurement start time.
Abstract: A projector apparatus that can effectively reduce bending of a base plate supporting a lens shifting unit thereon and facilitates replacement of unit parts in the event of a failure is provided. The projector apparatus includes: a base plate attached inside a projector body; a lens supporting unit attached to the base plate and supporting a projection lens so as to be movable relative to the base plate; guiding mechanisms for guiding the lens supporting unit so as to be freely movable in a horizontal direction and a normal direction relative to the base plate; and fixing devices which fix the base plate to the projector body. The fixing devices include a plurality of first fixing devices provided at a peripheral edge of the base plate, and second fixing devices provided on an inner side of the plurality of first fixing devices.

Abstract: A projector including: a display unit equipped with an image-forming surface made up of a plurality of pixels; a projection lens that is capable of focus adjustment and that projects an image that is formed on the image-forming surface onto a projection surface; a distortion correction processing unit that, on the basis of distortion correction data for correcting distortion of an image projected onto the projection surface, generates a corrected image by enlarging and/or reducing an image indicated by an input video signal and forms the corrected image on the image-forming surface; and a control unit that adjusts the focus of the projection lens on the basis of the distortion correction data such that a focus range on the projection surface is increased.
