Abstract: Disclosed is a stroke-based differentiable rendering for both representation of spatiotemporal sensor data and unsupervised spatiotemporal events detection wherein we encode DAS waterfall data into a structured latent space based on parameterized brushstrokes. The structured brushstroke representation can (1) suppress background noise and distracting clutters from the original waterfall data, (2) allow easy leverage of geometrical prior knowledge for physics-informed pattern recognition. Guided by multiple specially designed targets that emphasize different aspects of the original data, the optimized strokes not only preserve the salient information, but also align well with the original data in terms of spatial and temporal coordinates. As a results, it also provides pixel-level annotation as a byproduct. Based on long term DFOS data and cumulative statistics, we can further localize landmarks (such as traffic lights, manholes, etc.) from the waterfall data. These landmarks can be used for cable mapping.

An integration unit (113) performs, for a plurality of combinations of the first frame image and the second frame image associated with each other, processing of integrating the feature values computed from each of the first frame image and the second frame image, and thereby generates an integrated query in which the integrated feature values are arranged in time series.
Abstract: A face authentication apparatus includes a face image acquisition unit, a collation unit, a time measurement unit, and a threshold change unit. The face image acquisition unit acquires a face image of an authentication target. The collation unit performs face authentication on the face image of the authentication target on the basis of a threshold. The time measurement unit measures the elapsed time from the time of starting operation of the face authentication apparatus. The threshold change unit restricts changing of the threshold to a value larger than a value determined depending on the measured elapsed time.

Abstract: The video coding device calculates a first value representing energy of the prediction error signals of the block to be processed, eliminates specified transform coefficients when at least one of a width and a height of the block to be processed exceeds a predetermined value and calculates a second value representing energy of the transform coefficients other than the eliminated transform coefficients, and decides not to make the candidate of prediction mode the optimal prediction mode, without executing quantizing, arithmetic-coding and local decoding, in a case where the second value is smaller than a predetermined degree as compared to the first value.
Abstract: A method for implementing a software update for a selected enclave of a computing system includes obtaining, by a security monitor (SM) of the computing system, the software update for the selected enclave, installing, by the SM, the software update for the selected enclave to provide updated enclave software code, and measuring, by the SM, the updated enclave software code to provide a software update measurement. The updated enclave software code is stored in a memory region isolated from a memory region in which data for the selected enclave is stored. The method further includes transmitting, by the SM, the software update measurement to one or more respective other enclaves that share a memory region with the selected enclave.
