Abstract: Systems and methods for performing the dynamic anomaly localization of utility pole aerial/suspended/supported wires/cables by distributed fiber optic sensing. In sharp contrast to the prior art, our inventive systems and methods according to aspects of the present disclosure advantageously identify a “location region” on a utility pole supporting an affected wire/cable, thereby permitting the identification and reporting of service personnel that are uniquely responsible for responding to such anomalous condition(s).
Abstract: This image retrieval system comprises: a storage means for storing a plurality of registered images capturing a plurality of objects to be registered; an acquisition means for acquiring a retrieval image including a region of interest; an extraction means for extracting a feature amount from a region, in the retrieval image, other than the region of interest; a retrieval means for retrieving, from the plurality of registered images stored in the storage means, a registered image having a feature amount that matches the feature amount extracted by the extraction means; and an output means for outputting, in a manner that makes it possible to recognize a region corresponding to the region of interest in the retrieval image, all or a portion of the registered image retrieved by the retrieval means.
Abstract: A reinforcement learning based approach to the problem of query object localization, where an agent is trained to localize objects of interest specified by a small exemplary set. We learn a transferable reward signal formulated using the exemplary set by ordinal metric learning. It enables test-time policy adaptation to new environments where the reward signals are not readily available, and thus outperforms fine-tuning approaches that are limited to annotated images. In addition, the transferable reward allows repurposing of the trained agent for new tasks, such as annotation refinement, or selective localization from multiple common objects across a set of images.
Abstract: The size estimation device 5 is provided with an estimation unit 51 and a calculation unit 52. The estimation unit 51 estimates, on the basis of a learning model which learns the feature of a first underwater creature body that faces one direction in an image captured in the water, a first feature point that indicates one end in a one direction side of a second underwater creature body that faces a one direction included in an image captured outside and a second feature point that indicates the other end. Abstract: A computer-implemented method of instantiating a machine learning model with a host processing system is provided. The host processing system includes a trusted execution environment (TEE) and an untrusted processing system (UPS). The method includes: preparing, with the host processing system, a compiler encoding an architecture of the machine learning model; receiving, from a client processing system, source data; and producing, with the compiler, software based on the received source data and model parameters stored on the host processing system. The software includes an untrusted software component for performance on the UPS and a trusted software component for performance on the TEE. The untrusted software component and the trusted software component are configured to, when performed in concert, instantiate the machine learning model.

Abstract: The conventional image surveillance technologies relevant to the present invention had the potential of failing in detect ion due to the intrusion duration time being set too long and thereby allowing an intruder to pass a warning line before the preset intrusion duration had elapsed. The intrusion detection device according to the present invention is provided with: a detect ion means that detects, in an image, an intrusion position in a specific region by an object that has intruded into the specific region; and a control means that associates the intrusion position with a prescribed time period, wherein the detection means outputs an alert when the object, in the image, has stayed in the specific region for the prescribed time period or longer.
