Abstract: A forward propagation apparatus is a forward propagation apparatus for a neural network, including: a mask generation unit that generates a binary mask; and a layer execution unit that performs an operation for a sparse convolutional layer according to a value at each coordinate of the binary mask, in which the mask generation unit: generates heat maps by performing an operation for a convolutional layer on an input feature map; generates a composite heat map obtained by combining the heat maps, into one heat map by summing up values of heat maps on a coordinate-by-coordinate basis; and generates the binary mask by binarizing a value at each coordinate of the composite heat map by using a predetermined threshold.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices, and computer readable medium for communication. According to some embodiments, a method comprises determining, at a terminal device, that a negative acknowledgment (NACK) feedback is to be transmitted for at least one of a set of transport blocks (TBs) transmitted from a network device; selecting, from a mapping table associated with the set of TBs, a cyclic shift value mapped to a combination of the at least one TB; generating a sequence at least based on the selected cyclic shift value; and transmitting, to the network device, the NACK feedback for the at least one TB using the generated sequence.
Abstract: An object of the present disclosure is to provide a monitoring system capable of achieving efficient and robust security in an environment in which there are files of various importance levels. Abstract: A method for learning disentangled representations of videos is presented. The method includes feeding each frame of video data into an encoder to produce a sequence of visual features, passing the sequence of visual features through a deep convolutional network to obtain a posterior of a dynamic latent variable and a posterior of a static latent variable, sampling static and dynamic representations from the posterior of the static latent variable and the posterior of the dynamic latent variable, respectively, concatenating the static and dynamic representations to be fed into a decoder to generate reconstructed sequences, and applying three regularizers to the dynamic and static latent variables to trigger representation disentanglement. To facilitate the disentangled sequential representation learning, orthogonal factorization in generative adversarial network (GAN) latent space is leveraged to pre-train a generator as a decoder in the method.

Abstract: Methods and systems for processing a scanned tissue section include locating cells within a scanned tissue. Cells in the scanned tissue are classified using a classifier model. A tumor-cell ratio (TCR) map is generated based on classified normal cells and tumor cells. A TCR isoline is generated for a target TCR value using the TCR map, marking areas of the tissue section where a TCR is at or above the target TCR value. Dissection is performed on the tissue sample to isolate an area identified by the isoline.

Abstract: A method for time synchronization using distributed fiber optic sensing (DFOS) that employs several trusted time beacons that are attached to the DFOS sensing fiber which in turn is connected to the DFOS interrogator. The beacons transmit their signal via two different mediums, (1) wirelessly to sensor nodes in the coverage area, and (2) through vibrations on fiber to the DFOS/DAS system located at a trusted area such as the central office. Wireless broadcast to nearby sensors includes a timestamp and beacon ID. All the sensors in the field use one of the beacons in their vicinity (the one with the strongest signal) as their time reference and send the data back with the corresponding beacon index.
