Publication number: 20240277364Abstract: A pulsatile aspiration system is herein disclosed that includes a catheter and pump system. The catheter includes an outer wall, a proximal section, a distal section, and an internal wall dividing the proximal section into a central main lumen and an auxiliary lumen. The pump system is in fluid communication with the catheter and independently controls the negative fluid pressure and the positive fluid pressure in the central main lumen and the auxiliary lumen so as to produce at the distal end of the catheter a pulsatile aspiration waveform variable between a maximum aspiration pressure and a maximum positive pressure. The maximum aspiration pressure is producible at the distal end of the catheter when the resulting pressure is exclusively negative fluid pressure, and the maximum positive pressure is producible at the distal end of the catheter when the positive fluid pressure counterbalances that of the negative fluid pressure.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 14, 2024Publication date: August 22, 2024Applicant: Neuravi LimitedInventor: Brendan CASEY

Publication number: 20240277356Abstract: Cyclic aspiration system producing a cyclic aspiration pressure waveform of intermittent cycles of vacuum pressure below atmospheric pressure and positive pressure higher than vacuum pressure. The system includes a dual pressure generator receptacle disposed proximally of and connected in fluid communication with an aspiration catheter. The dual pressure generator receptacle receiving a collectable fluid therein that is intermittently cyclically subjectable to application or withdraw of a compressible force via a linear displacement mechanism. Publication number: 20240197349Abstract: Devices described herein include an actuated clot retrieval catheter system. The system includes a catheter having a frame disposed proximate the distal end of the catheter. The frame expands to form a seal with the inner wall of a vessel. In some examples, the frame also captures a clot for removal from the vessel. The frame is manufactured from a shape memory material that can be heat set into a predetermined shape. An electrical connection to an electronic circuit causes a current to run through the frame. The electrical resistance of the shape memory material causes the frame to heat and transition from a martensite to an austenite phase. When the frame is heat set into an expanded configuration, the current causes the frame heat and expand. When the frame is heat set into a closed configuration, the current causes the frame heat and collapse upon a clot.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 27, 2024Publication date: June 20, 2024Applicant: Neuravi LimitedInventors: Ronald KELLY, Karl KEATING

Patent number: 12011186Abstract: The designs and methods disclosed herein are for a clot retrieval catheter with a large bore shaft and a distal braid-supported tip that is expandable to a diameter larger than the outer sheath through which it is delivered. The distal mouth of the tip can be beveled at an angle inclined from the longitudinal axis of the shaft. The braided tip can be braced with a reinforcing ring which can be welded or overmolded to the distal end of the braid and prevents the tip from collapsing under aspiration forces. The reinforcing ring can have relief features positioned to allow the oblique orientation of the ring to maintain a circular inner channel when the tip is compressed and delivered through a guide sheath and expanded at a target site. The distal tip can be expanded to a profile that is either symmetric or asymmetric with the catheter shaft.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2021Date of Patent: June 18, 2024Assignee: NEURAVI LIMITEDInventor: Petrica Stefanov
