  • Patent number: 10080503
Abstract: A watch or other type of portable electronic console that employs a number of different functions in order to improve its usability. The watch may, for example, allow a user to connect the watch to one or more remote electronic devices, such as an electronic performance sensor or MP3 player. The watch then displays information related to the connected electronic devices. Still further, the watch may allow a user to control the operation of one or more connected remote electronic devices. Thus, if the watch is connected to a remote speed/distance monitor employing a calibration variable, then the watch may allow the user to adjust the calibration variable.

  • Patent number: 10080947
Abstract: A system, device, and methods include or utilize a microphone, a processor, and a user interface. The microphone senses sound and in response outputs a sound signal indicative of the sound. The processor is coupled to the microphone to receive the sound signal, configured to analyze the sound signal to identify in the sound signal an impact of a golf club with a golf ball during a swing of the golf club and determine a characteristic of the swing of the golf club based on a portion of the sound signal corresponding to sound sensed, at least in part, before the impact. The user interface is coupled to the processor and configured to display information related to the characteristic of the swing as determined by the processor.

  • Publication number: 20180263336
Abstract: A plurality of fluid-filled chambers may be incorporated into sole structures of articles of footwear. The chambers may be configured to be substantially diamond-shaped. The chambers may lie within cavities formed by a lower surface of the midsole and may extend into apertures in the outsole. The apertures in the outsole may be aligned with the cavities of the midsole. The chambers may be bounded by bounding regions between and at the perimeter of the chambers. The bounding regions may be formed of a polymer foam material of the midsole. The chambers may additionally be connected.

  • Publication number: 20180264328
Abstract: An adjustable connector includes at least two parts, each having a main body with an angled bore having a longitudinal axis. An external surface of the main body of a first part is configured to bear against an internal surface of the bore of a second part when the first part is at least partially inserted into the bore of the second part to form a connection. The first part is prevented from rotating within the bore of the second part via a mechanical engagement of a rotational limiting feature such as a spline, key detail, or mating ridges and grooves.

  • Patent number: 10076152
Abstract: An article of footwear with an inner bootie that fits into and is strapped into an external shell to form the article of footwear. The inner bootie may have specially-treated regions that together allow the bootie to slip readily into the external shell and to be held firmly in place. When the inner bootie is in place in the external shell, cable loops woven into the lateral side and the medial side of the inner bootie protrude from corresponding openings in the external shell. A lace may then be laced through the cable loops to fasten the throat opening of the external shell over a wearer's foot.

  • Patent number: 10076154
Abstract: The disclosure relates to articles of footwear and components thereof, including outsoles, which can be used in conditions normally conducive to the accumulation of soil on the outsoles. In particular, the disclosure relates to articles of footwear and components thereof including an outsole with an external hydrogel film that compositionally includes crystalline regions and amorphous hydrophilic regions, where the amorphous regions are covalently bonded to the crystalline regions with carbamate linkages and/or polyamide linkages. The amorphous regions are present in the hydrogel at a ratio of at least 20:1, by weight, relative to the crystalline regions. The outsoles can prevent or reduce the accumulation of soil on the footwear during wear on unpaved surfaces such as sporting fields.

  • Patent number: RE47042
Abstract: An article of headwear includes a crown and a bill. The bill defines an inner edge that is operably coupled to the crown. The bill projects away from the crown and terminates at an outer edge. The bill includes a stiffener that stiffens the outer edge. The stiffener is spaced from the crown to define a cavity within the bill between the stiffener and the crown. The stiffener has a first longitudinal end that is adjacent the inner edge, a second longitudinal end that is adjacent the inner edge, an intermediate portion that is disposed between the first longitudinal end and the second longitudinal end, a top side, and a bottom side. A cross section of the stiffener is substantially constant in the intermediate portion between the first and second longitudinal ends, and one of the top and bottom sides is flat in cross section.
