Abstract: A plurality of game apparatuses function as a master, a client, and an audience. The master and the client register each other by performing therebetween an authentication process. The authentication process is not performed between the master and the audience. The audience receives a beacon from the master and registers the master in an own apparatus while the audience is not registered in the master. The master and the client execute a predetermined program, exchanging data by communicating with each other. The audience receives the data exchanged between the master and the client, and executes the predetermined program using the received data, thereby watches a game which is progressed between the master and the client, as a spectator.
Abstract: An example of an information processing apparatus places an object in a virtual space. The information processing apparatus counts, for at least one type of the object, a placement number of the objects placed in the virtual space. The information processing apparatus presents candidates of a clear condition including a condition relating to the object, on the basis of the counted placement number, in a selectable manner for a user. The clear condition is used for determining that a game using the virtual space has been cleared. The information processing apparatus sets a candidate selected by the user, as the clear condition.

Abstract: A holding structure according to an exemplary embodiment includes a rotation axis, a stand body, and a clicker. The stand body is rotatable about the rotation axis. When the stand body is rotated about the rotation axis, an upper end portion of the stand body contacts with the clicker. When the stand body is further rotated from a position at which the stand body and the clicker contacts with each other, the stand body rotates beyond the clicker. Thus, the stand body enters an opened state and holds an orientation of an apparatus. When the upper end portion of the stand body rotates beyond the clicker, the clicker is restored from a deformed state to an initial state, and a clicking sound occurs.
Abstract: A game system that is a non-limiting example information processing system comprises a main body apparatus provided with a left controller and a right controller in an attachable and detachable manner. By operating an additional operation apparatus to which the right controller is attached, a user plays an individual game, and selects an individual game to be played in a menu image that displays a plurality of icons corresponding to a plural kinds of different games. In the menu image, a menu vehicle object related to a game vehicle object that is operated in the individual game is displayed as a designation image. The user selects an icon by moving the menu vehicle object in an operating method that is the same as an operating method for the game vehicle object.
Abstract: A non-limiting example game system comprises a main body apparatus, and a left controller and a right controller are attachably and detachably attached to the main body apparatus. Each of the left controller and the right controller is provided with a plurality of operation buttons, an analog stick and a vibrator. A player character is provided with a radar object, and a rod-like determination object having one end that is located at a center of the character object is rotated within a plane parallel to a horizontal plane in a virtual space. When the determination object touches an enemy character, the vibrator of the left controller or/and the right controller is caused to vibrate.

Abstract: Low spatial frequencies of an original image and an upscaled filtered image are analyzed. Differences will be observed in the low frequency components of the two images in the general case since the pixel art upscaler filter as a side effect introduces low frequency changes. A modification to images produced by the PAU is applied to attempt to match the brightness of the original images in the low frequency spectrum. From a viewer perspective (e.g., based on typical blurring visual effects), the original image and the modified filtered image will look the same—demonstrating that there is no low frequency brightness creep or resulting increased photosensitivity concerns.
Abstract: An image of a virtual three-dimensional space in which a three-dimensional object is positioned is displayed. A first straight line is calculated on the basis of predetermined two points in the three-dimensional object, and a second straight line orthogonal to the first straight line is further calculated. Then, either one of the first straight line and the second straight line is selected as a rotation axis on the basis of an input performed with the pointing device, and the three-dimensional object is rotated about the rotation axis.
Abstract: A non-limiting example game system comprises a processor incorporated in a main body apparatus, and the processor displays, in a battle scene, a battle screen including a player character, an enemy character and a board face object on a display. The board face object having a circular board face that is formed with multiple partial objects that are sectioned by multiple concentric circles and multiple lines extended radially. A player makes the multiple partial objects move in a circumferential direction or a radial direction so as to change arrangement of multiple enemy characters placed on the multiple partial objects, thereby causing the player character to perform an attack.
Abstract: A non-limiting example game system includes a plurality of terminal apparatuses operated by a plurality of players, and connect to a network. The computer system creates a virtual lobby that allows up to a predetermined number of players to participate therein, and sets a player who operates one of the terminal apparatuses as a player who is virtually present in the lobby in response to a request from that terminal apparatus. Abstract: A ranking of each of a plurality of users is set, and based on a numerical value indicating the ranking, an indicator is calculated such that the smaller the numerical value, the greater a value of the indicator. Then, the indicator calculated for the user is displayed. The indicator is displayed such that the higher the ranking, the greater the value of the indicator. This can enhance the motivation of a user.
