The main rotating portion includes a light emitting portion that emits strip-shaped light. The light emitting portion is located at the actuator side relative to the indicator, and emits the strip-shaped light to a nearby area to the indicator and located, relative the indicator, at one side in a rotation direction of the indicator. The needle includes a shield which extends in a direction of the actuator from the indicator, extends along the indicator, and blocks, among the strip-shaped light, light directed from the one side in the rotation direction of the indicator to the other side therein.

These devices are provided with: a red light source for outputting red light at optical intensity in response to a first current presented thereto; a green light source for outputting green light at optical intensity in response to a second current presented thereto; a blue light source for outputting blue light at optical intensity in response to a third current presented thereto; and a color mixing means for color mixing of the red light, the green light, and the blue light together. A light attenuating part transmits or reflects the blue light, bringing about attenuation and advance thereof in the output direction. The blue light output by the blue light source is attenuated to a greater extent than the light of the other colors during output.

    Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to cut down the travel distance of a display image on receiving a stop instruction intended for a stepping motor and thereby reduce a feeling of strangeness perceived by a user. A display device allows a user to view the image displayed on a display at a prescribed display position. The display device comprises: a stepping motor having a rotor including a magnet and driven by a micro-step drive method; a reflector which moves in accordance with the rotation of the rotor in the stepping motor so as to move the display position; and a motor control device. The motor control device identifies a rotational position of the rotor between adjacent stable excitation positions, and moves the rotor to reach the closer of the stable excitation positions on the basis of the identified rotational position on receiving a stop instruction intended for the stepping motor.
