Abstract: A brake switch actuator for an autobicycle or the like is disclosed which includes a brake lever adapted to actuate a brake master cylinder mounted on a steering handle and also to actuate a brake switch so as to turn on and off a brake lamp at the tail of the body. The body of a brake master cylinder arranged frontwardly of a brake switch is disposed below the master cylinder with its longitudinal axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the cylinder bore and also transverse to the longitudinal axis of the pivot, the brake lever having a downwardly extending arm which performs the dual function of operating the switch and also providing a stop which determines the retracted position of the brake lever.
Abstract: A brake oil-pressure control valve device for vehicles in which operating oil pressure of rear wheel brakes is automatically controlled in accordance with the braking force as required. The device comprises first and second branch oil passages branched from an oil passage connected to a rear wheel brake output port of a master cylinder, a reducing valve interposed between the first branch oil passage and the rear wheel brakes, springs for determining pressure to start reducing action of the reducing valve, a control piston disposed in an oil pressure chamber communicated with the second branch oil passage to normally hold the reducing valve in its open position, and a weight valve disposed within the valve chamber to sense deceleration of the vehicle.
Abstract: A vacuum type brake booster device including an input rod with an adjustable stop mechanism for enabling the input rod to have such a normal, full-retracted position as to hold the booster control valve in a neutral position to keep the second working chamber of the booster out of communication with the first working chamber thereof as well as with the atmosphere while holding the booster output rod in direct abutting engagement with the brake master cylinder piston. There is no delay in operation of the brake master cylinder when the brake pedal is depressed.
Abstract: A master cylinder body including a cylindrical-shaped inner section of uniform wall thickness formed as by die-casting and an outer section cast on the inner section around the periphery thereof. The extreme simplicity in configuration of the inner section enables it to be formed with no casting defects such as shrinkage cavities which may result in oil leakage therethrough. The inner section and the outer one cast thereon become solidly fused together at the cylindrical interface therebetween as long as the materials used are of the same metallurgical type. Formation of a multitude of annular or helical ridges on the outer periphery of the inner body section further ensures the solid interconnection between the two body sections.
Abstract: A caliper supporting device in which a caliper is connected to a bracket through a first slide pin and a second slide pin so that the caliper arranged so as to sit astride of a part of the brake disc may be moved in a direction of a rotating axis of the brake disc. A resilient grommet for resiliently supporting the second slide pin only lengthwise thereof is mounted in a supporting hole in the form of an elongated hole. The second slide pin is directly brought into contact with a side wall of the supporting hole by a braking torque acting on the caliper.
