Patent number: 4338585Abstract: Hinged armature magnet for matrix printer head with a hinged armature (24), which near its one end is fixed one end of the magnet yoke (12) by means of a mounting part (48) so as to be able to swing out against spring force, wherein the hinged armature (24) and the mounting part (48) rest in common against a substantially cylindrical pin (80) which with its cylindrical axis is arranged substantially parallel to the pivoting axis of the hinged armature (24) near the corner edge of the magnet yoke (12). The pin (80) with a recess (84) can be supported in a cutout (82) in the magnet yoke (12). By the rolling motion of the hinged armature (24) on the cylindrical surface of the pin (80) during the starting motion of the hinged armature, the lever arm enlarges between the momentary position of the pivoting axis of the hinged armature and the supporting tongue (76) of the mounting part (48) transmitting the spring force, in which way a progressive spring action occurs.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 1980Date of Patent: July 6, 1982Assignee: Nixdorf Computer AGInventor: Hans-Werner Volke

Patent number: 4297595Abstract: Digital signals are applied to an ungrounded transmission line through a two channel system, one channel being operative in response to a binary "1" the other in response to a binary "0." Each channel, when active, receives high frequency oscillations through a transformer. One side of the transformer is connected to the emitter-collector circuit of a transistor constituting a main rectifier. A buffer transistor has an emitter-collector circuit connected in series with the main rectifier transistor. A rectifier diode connected to the secondary winding of the transformer furnishes a DC signal to switch the buffer transistor to the conductive state only when high frequency oscillations appear across the secondary winding, that is when the channel is active. A high frequency filter between the main rectifier transistor and the buffer transistor prevents high frequency oscillations from reaching the output.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 1979Date of Patent: October 27, 1981Assignee: Nixdorf Computer AGInventor: Josef Huellwegen

Patent number: 4255812Abstract: In known signal regenerating apparatus a high frequency signal is continuously applied to the secondary side and inductively coupled back to a resonant circuit on the primary side. The resultant oscillations in the resonant circuit are modulated by the incoming communication signals. The so-modulated signals are coupled back to the secondary side where they are demodulated. The demodulated signals are identical to the communication signals except for a DC component. A separate rectifier circuit, similar to the demodulator circuit is therefore provided for rectifying the high frequency signal. The rectified high frequency signal constitutes a DC voltage which, when combined with the demodulated signals, will remove the undesired DC component therefrom.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 1979Date of Patent: March 10, 1981Assignee: Nixdorf Computer AGInventor: Joseph Huellwegen

Patent number: 4162519Abstract: All instruction words of a microprocessor have the same number of instruction word bits, but the number of instruction word bits constituting address bits varies as a function of the number of addresses associated with the operation specified by the operation code part of the instruction word. Operations having only one associated address have no address bits. A translator circuit has a plurality of inputs each receiving one bit of the instruction word, a set of control outputs for furnishing control signals, and a set of address outputs for furnishing address words. The set of control outputs has logic interconnections with each of the translator circuit inputs, as does the set of address outputs. Operation code bits in the instruction word are therefore also utilized as address bits, thereby decreasing the total number of instruction word bits required. For some operations, the required address is an operand stored in a memory location addressed by the operation code bits of the instruction word.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 1977Date of Patent: July 24, 1979Assignee: Nixdorf Computer AGInventor: Lorenz Hanewinkel

Patent number: 4156900Abstract: A circuit for sequencing microinstruction sequences in data processing equipment in which during the course of a primary sequence subroutine jumps are performed and subsequences are carried out and at the end of each, a return jump into the primary sequence takes place due to the control provided by a temporarily stored return jump address at a point in the sequence at which a two-part branching instruction is to be evaluated. The first part of the branching instruction characterizes a branching function which is to be carried out dependent on a decision which is specified in the second part thereof. The circuit includes a microinstruction storage from which microinstruction sequences are taken over depending upon the output signals from a central fixed-cycle control circuit fed into a microinstruction register and a recoder which is arranged thereafter.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 1977Date of Patent: May 29, 1979Assignee: Nixdorf Computer AGInventors: Gerhard Gruno, Wolfgang Matschke, Wolfgang Lohnstein
