    Abstract: An aspect of this invention is a definition of a set of reused channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resources among transmission points, which can be lower power nodes, for intra-cell coordinated multi-point (CoMP) operation. Separate CSI-RS resources are defined for each transmission point for sporadic separate measurements to be made by user equipment. The sporadic measurements may be implemented with low additional overhead, and are used for generating potentially simplified CSI feedback to an evolved NodeB that enables adapting shared channel reuse and also potentially making related channel quality indicator (CQI) compensation.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to web content communication. In accordance with embodiments of the present invention, content items contained in the requested web content may be dynamically analyzed and classified according to their requirement for individual users. Web content items with different requirements are transmitted to the users based on protocols having different transportation characteristics. Those important content items are transmitted based on a more accurate, reliable protocol, thereby ensuring the quality of transmission. Those unimportant content items are transmitted based on a protocol with less or without guarantee of transmission accuracy. In this way, response delays can be reduced. Moreover, even if part or all of the unimportant content items are lost or delayed, the user experience can be maintained on an acceptable level.

After determining the location of a wireless device through various means, a Novelty Index Value (NIV) is calculated for the location, and the NIV is then stored into a database. The NIV may then be subsequently used by application programs to compute a desired result from the NIV. Multiple users may utilize and/or share the same NIV values. The NIV may also be used to alter the configuration of a wireless device as well. A recommendation system is also disclosed, wherein user context is utilized along with NIV values to compute particular results for a user.

In another embodiment, digest authentication is combined with key exchange parameters (e.g., Diffie-Hellman parameters) in the payload of the digest message, in which a key (e.g., SMEKEY or MN-AAA) is utilized as a password. In yet another embodiment, an authentication algorithm (e.g., Cellular Authentication and Voice Encryption (CAVE)) is employed with a key agreement protocol with conversion functions to support bootstrapping.
