The PWB includes alternating conductive layers and insulative layers. The outermost three layers form an interconnect structure constructed of two conductive layers surrounding an insulative-coated conductive layer. The thicknesses of the various layers are optimized to have an increased resistance to mechanical shock resulting from, for instance, a drop onto a hard surface. In addition, the optimized PWB structure has a minimized thickness and an improved resistance to connection failures resulting from cyclical thermal loads.

The receiver may further use transmission streams of varying priority to enhance and otherwise modify the displayed content according to a user's selection. Users with small display screens or poor eyesight may benefit from such enhancements features.

The plurality of delay elements together introduce a nominal one cycle delay into the clock signal.

The invention determines a threshold for a specific user and assesses a cumulative PC for usage of a resource that exceeds the user specific threshold. Different operating states are determined based on a status associated with the resource. In a normal operating state, virtually all sent email is processed. In a selective-rejection state, sent email from a user with a cumulative PC is rejected randomly, while others are processed. In a random-rejection state, sent email from a user without a cumulative PC is randomly rejected based on a resource usage factor and an adjustment multiplier, while sent email from a user with a cumulative PC is completely rejected. The user may be assigned an exempt status that enables processing of virtually all email from the user independent of user's PC.

To establish a mobile-terminated packet-switched connection, the mobile telephone network sends the mobile station a page request via a circuit-switched connection and subsequently sends the mobile station the additional information commanding the mobile station to switch to a packet-switched connection. After detecting the additional information, the mobile station switches to the packet-switched connection.

The common traffic channel (TCH) is allocated when the first call or calls are set up, and the capacity of the traffic channel is adjusted dynamically during the calls. The capacity of the common traffic channel is increased or the allocated capacity is reallocated when a new call is added to the traffic channel. Correspondingly, the capacity is decreased or the allocated capacity is reallocated when a call is cleared from the common traffic channel.

In response to wireless terminal requests relayed by an access point, the server retrieves the map and overlay associated with the access point, and transmits that data to the terminal for display. Alternatively, a list of UDs may be transmitted. Selection of a UD from the display causes an image of the UD's control panel to be displayed, from which the device may be remotely controlled by the user. A mechanism is also provided to permit users to display maps of areas other than the one in which the user is currently located to permit remote control of UDs in such areas.
