  • Patent number: 10393875
Abstract: An adjustable security sensor device is described. The device comprises a time of flight sensor, a user input element, and a processor. The time of flight sensor generates a first set of sample distance measurements based on a first position of the time of flight sensor relative to the reflector, in response to receiving the identification of the first position of the device relative to the reflector. The processor associates the identification of the first position with the first set of sample distance measurements. A second set of sample distance measurements is measured based on a second position of the time of flight sensor relative to the reflector. The processor compares a first range of the first set of sample distance measurements with a second range of the second set of sample distance measurements, and identifies a position of the device relative to the reflector based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 10204466
Abstract: A device has a distance sensor and a transmitter. The distance sensor, attached to a barrier, measures an opening formed by the barrier. The transmitter transmits a control signal to a barrier controller. The barrier controller controls a movement of the barrier based on the control signal. The device receives a requested size of the opening. The device transmits, to the barrier controller, a first control signal that instructs the barrier controller to move the barrier and a second control signal that instructs the barrier controller to stop the movement of the barrier after an elapsed time has expired. The device measures a final size of the opening and adjusts the elapsed time based on the final size of the opening and the requested size of the opening.

  • Patent number: 10197310
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling temperature in an enclosed space can include an air-to-air heat exchanger (AAHX) and a direct evaporative cooler (DEC). The DEC can be located in a scavenger or outdoor air stream such that the DEC cools the outdoor air, which is then used to cool or reject heat from a process air stream passing through the AAHX. In an example, the AAHX can be a sensible wheel. In another example, the AAHX can be a counter-flow flat plate. The system can operate in various modes, including an economizer mode and an evaporation mode, depending, in part, on the outdoor air conditions and a load on the system. In some examples, the system can include a DX coil to provide additional cooling to the process air in another operating mode.

  • Patent number: 10181245
Abstract: A dryer vent monitor device includes a temperature sensor coupled to a dryer exhaust pipe to measure a temperature inside the dryer exhaust pipe. A differential air pressure sensor is coupled at an input connection between a dryer and the exhaust pipe and at an output connection between the dryer exhaust pipe and an outdoor vent. The differential air pressure sensor measures a differential air pressure between the input connection and the output connection. A transceiver communicates with a monitoring system registered with the dryer vent monitoring device. The dryer vent monitoring device compares both the temperature and the differential air pressure with a preset threshold, determines that at least one of the temperature and the differential air pressure exceed the preset threshold, and generates an alert signal in response to determining that at least one of the temperature and the differential air pressure exceed the preset threshold.
