  • Patent number: 6581793
Abstract: A cap adapted to be secured on a neck of a container wherein the cap includes a top wall and a depending annular skirt having an inner annular projection. A fluid seal having a central transverse wall, an outer annular shoulder and a inner annular bead rests on the inner annular projection so as to define a space between the cap and the fluid seal into which the fluid seal is pushed when the cap is secured to the neck of the container to make a seal between the outer annular shoulder of the seal and the inner annular projection.

  • Patent number: 6415966
Abstract: A push-pull closure which includes a base for securing to a container and which base includes an upper plug which seats within an opening in a valve lifter which is moveable with respect thereto between a closed position and an open position and wherein a cap is provided for covering the valve lifter when in a closed position. A tamper indicating seal is applied over a portion of the top of the valve lifter and the plug of the base in order to provide a seal therebetween and to provide evidence of tampering or of first opening of the valve lifter from the closed position to the open position.

  • Patent number: 5779075
Abstract: The invention relates to a screw cap made of a plastics material, the cap comprising a closing portion (3); optional sealing means (7) mounted in or integral with the closing portion (3); and a tamper-proofing ring (8) made in one piece with the closing portion (3). According to the invention, the cap comprises a breakable zone (17) of the outer portion (9) enabling it to be opened on unscrewing the cap (1) leads firstly to an empty space (18) between the outer portion (9) and the skirt (5), which empty space (18) is delimited downstream, with respect to the unscrewing direction of the cap (1), by at least one non-breakable fastening (19) which does not break on unscrewing the cap (1), and which is part of said link means (11), and secondly to a breakable zone (20a), to a cut (20b), or to a gap (20c) in the inner portion (10) so that, on unscrewing the cap (1), the tamper-proofing ring (8) remains associated with the closing portion (3).

  • Patent number: 5397009
Abstract: A screw-type closure device comprising a safety cap having a guarantee strip which includes a first ring connected to the bottom of a cap skirt by connecting bridges and a second ring assembled on the first ring by a peripheral zone of reduced thickness which allows the second ring to turn up inside the first ring. The second ring may be divided into at least two independent segments which are separated by gaps. The first ring of the guarantee strip includes at least one oblique groove of reduced thickness opposite one of the gaps in the second ring and which is torn to severe the guarantee strip from the container when the cap is removed.
