Abstract: A tensioner tube (18) for guiding a load transmission element (20) for a belt tensioner comprises an exit end (32) and a tube section (34) adjacent to the exit end (32), the tube section (34) being configured and arranged so that the longitudinal axis (L) of the tube section (34) is substantially tangent to the drive gear (14), wherein an elongate projection (36) protruding into the interior of the tube, the longitudinal axis (I) of which is inclined in relation to the longitudinal axis (L) of the tube section (34), is formed in the tube section (34) adjacent to the exit end (32). A belt tensioner for a seat belt system comprises a pyrotechnically movable load transmission element (20) and a drive gear (14) which can be driven by the movable load transmission element (20). The load transmission element (20) is guided in a tensioner tube (18) of the above-mentioned type.

Abstract: An elastomeric article is formed from a blend of nitrile rubber and polychloroprene rubber. The elastomeric article can be a glove, such as a medical exam glove. The elastomeric article is softer than a conventional nitrile elastomeric article. The elastomeric article is formed from a blended rubber latex emulsion of nitrile and polychloroprene. The blended rubber latex emulsion may be free of sulfur and vulcanization accelerators.

Abstract: Methods and systems to process and assure integrity of radar measurements, detect the effects of GNSS jamming and/or spoofing events, identify GNSS measurements affected by the GNSS jamming and/or spoofing events, and assure the integrity of the GNSS measurements unaffected by jamming and/or spoofing events in a vehicle navigation system are disclosed. The methods are implemented to integrate inertial measurements, GNSS measurements, and radar measurements for the vehicle, and apply solution separation techniques to all of the measurements. The solution separation techniques use a main filter for hybridization of the inertial measurements, the GNSS measurements, and the radar measurements, with additional sub-solution filters and sub-sub-solution filters that use combinations of these measurements. This provides common processing of the GNSS and radar sensors in a single hybridization and solution separation framework.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods for measuring and controlling the gas temperature in medical procedures. In embodiments of the disclosed methods a gas is supplied to a patient using a gas supply device and a supply line. A heating system heats the gas using a heating wire prior to the gas being provided to the patient. A controller electrically controls the heating power of the heating wire based on an estimated value of a temperature at an exit of the heating system obtained from a mathematical estimation system, wherein a resistance of the heating wire is an input variable of the mathematical estimation system.

Said main communication device belongs to the hob controller and is designed to use a Bluetooth communication protocol and to receive an individual identifier of the remote communication device and to store the latter in the hob controller. The hob and the main communication device are switched on and a pan having a remote communication device is put onto the hob plate, this being detected. The distance between the main communication device and the remote communication device of the pan is then measured, and the pan position of the pan on the hob is thus determined. This pan position is stored along with the individual identifier of the remote communication device in the hob controller.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for the automatic determination of an analyte in the liquid phase by conducting a specific chemical reaction and subsequent optical measurement of the concentration of its products, using spectroscopic techniques, operating in stationary or flow mode. This device is equipped with a reaction-detection system with a replaceable cartridge. The device enables conducting chemical reactions in the liquid phase with the mixing of many streams of reagents, and also ensures the quantitative nature of the determination. The invention also relates to a method for the automatic determination of an analyte in the liquid phase using the device according to the invention, in particular for monitoring the progress of the dialysis process.

Abstract: A portable fire shelter that utilizes an absorbent layer that is impregnated with a fire resistant liquid or gel. The fire shelter is packaged in a way that prevents the liquid or gel from evaporating or hardening. The fire shelter can be transported to the fire zone using robots or drones, and when deployed the fire shelter provides an interior space that maintains a temperature of less than 200° F. in a fire environment that can reach hundreds, or more than a thousand, degrees f for a period sufficient to protect an object or a person until the fire blows by. Also provided is a method of a person in a fire zone calling for the transportation of the portable fire shelter into the fire zone.
