  • Patent number: 10117187
Abstract: A wireless device receives a media access control (MAC) activation command indicating activation of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) secondary cell. The wireless device initializes an adjustment factor employing a transmit power control value received in a random access response if the wireless device transmits a random access preamble on the PUCCH secondary cell, otherwise initializes the adjustment factor to zero. The wireless device transmits a first instance of uplink control information on the secondary PUCCH with an initial transmit power computed employing the adjustment factor.

  • Patent number: 10110362
Abstract: A wireless device receives at least one message comprising configuration parameters of a plurality of cells grouped into a plurality of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) groups. The wireless device transmits, in a subframe and in a first PUCCH group, at least one SRS employing a sounding procedure for the first PUCCH group. The sounding procedure may depend, at least in part, on transmissions of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) or a PUCCH in the first PUCCH group and may be independent of transmissions of PUCCH and PUSCH in a second PUCCH group. The plurality of cells may be in the same timing advance group.

  • Publication number: 20180279229
Abstract: A wireless device may receive one or more messages comprising configuration parameters for a plurality of logical channels comprising a first logical channel. The configuration parameters may indicate: a first logical channel priority for the first logical channel; and a mapping of the first logical channel to one or more transmission durations. An uplink grant indicating radio resources associated with a first transmission duration may be received. Data from the first logical channel may be multiplexed into a first transport block in response to the first transmission duration being one of the one or more transmission durations. A transmission power of the first transport block, may be adjusted based on the first logical channel priority in response to a calculated total transmission power being above a first value. The first transport block may be transmitted via the radio resources.

  • Publication number: 20180279157
Abstract: A base station transmits configuration parameters of a plurality of cells to a wireless device. The plurality of cells comprise: a primary cell with a primary physical uplink control channel (PUCCH); and a PUCCH secondary cell with a secondary PUCCH; a transmit power control (TPC) radio network temporary identifier (RNTI); a primary TPC index for the primary PUCCH; and a secondary TPC index for the secondary PUCCH. An activation control element indicating activation of the PUCCH secondary cell is transmitted. A downlink control information (DCI) associated with the TPC RNTI is transmitted via a common search space of the primary cell. The DCI comprises an array of TPC commands. The secondary TPC index determines a TPC command in the array. An uplink signal with an uplink signal transmission power determined based on the TPC command is received from the wireless device and via the secondary PUCCH.

  • Publication number: 20180279232
Abstract: A wireless device receives configuration parameters of cells comprising at least a first cell type operating on a first frequency band; and a second cell type operating on a second frequency band. A calculated total transmit power is determined for signals comprising: a first SRS configured for transmission in a subframe of the first cell type in the cells, and a second SRS configured for transmission in the subframe of the second cell type in the cells. At least one of the first SRS or the second SRS is dropped or scaled based on a transmit power priority of the first SRS and the second SRS when the calculated total power exceeds a first value. The transmit power priority is based on whether the first SRS or the second SRS is configured for transmission on the first frequency band or the second frequency band.

  • Publication number: 20180270792
Abstract: A base station receives from a second base station, first packet(s) associated with a wireless device. The base station receives from a core network entity, second packet(s) for the wireless device when in an RRC inactive state. The base station transmits a first RAN paging message to a third base station of a RAN area associated with the wireless device in response to a time duration being larger than a time value. The time duration is the time between the receiving of the first packet(s) and the receiving of the second packet(s). The base station transmits a second RAN paging message to the second base station regardless of the time duration being smaller or larger than the time value. The base station transmits second packet(s) to the second or third base base station based on a response received for the first or second RAN paging message.
