  • Patent number: 4453818
Abstract: A method of automatically adjusting focus conditions of photographic optical system is disclosed. In the method at least a part of optical image formed on a predetermined focal plane by an optical system is projected onto first and second photocell arrays in the front and the rear of a surface conjugated to the predetermined focal plane, and onto at least one of other photocell arrays arranged between the first and second photocell arrays. Outputs of first, second and other photocell arrays are arithmetically operated in accordance with respective given evaluation functions thereby obtaining first, second and other evaluation values. These evaluation values are compared with each other and the optical system is intermittently shifted in the optical axis direction with first or second moving step in the case of decision from the compared result that the optical system is positioned within or outside a predetermined range including the in-focused position.

  • Patent number: 4453239
Abstract: An apparatus and method for recording optically an information signal on a disk-like record medium as a spiral track or concentrical tracks by modulating a main beam by the information signal to be recorded and projecting the modulated main beam onto the record medium. In order to obtain a tracking error signal, a sub beam is also projected on the record medium at an edge of an adjacent track which has been previously recorded and the sub beam reflected by the record medium is detected by a light detector to produce the tracking error signal which is then supplied to a high pass filter to remove a low frequency component from the tracking error signal.

  • Patent number: 4442191
Abstract: An electrophotographic copying process utilizes a photosensitive member for electrophotography which comprises a first and a second photoconductive layer which are sensitive to radiation of a first and a second wavelength region, respectively. The photosensitive member may be subjected to steps of imagewise irradiation simultaneously with charging, then inverse charging, then uniform exposure and the like to form a positive or a negative electrostatic latent image. The electrostatic latent image thus formed is repeatedly subjected to a developing and a transfer step to produce a number of copies.

  • Patent number: 4426143
Abstract: An overexposure indicator for an automatic electronic flash produces a time factor signal of a given duration after an emission terminate signal is delivered to an electronic flash. When the amount of flashlight emitted by the electronic flash reaches an arbitrary multiple of a proper value of exposure, a detection output is produced. The indicator indicates the occurrence of an overexposure whenever detection output is produced during the time the time factor signal is present.
