Patent number: 11252952Abstract: A trap has a housing including an entrance. Internally, the trap has a trigger structure including a trigger plate and a latch mechanism, coupled with the housing; and a pivoting structure pivotally coupled with the housing and adapted to releasably engage with the latch mechanism of the trigger structure. When the trap is triggered by a rodent, the pivoting structure disengages from the latch mechanism and the pivoting structure pivots towards a rear wall of the housing and the trigger plate, and the trigger plate pivots toward the pivoting structure, moving the rodent against towards the rear wall of the housing and trapping the rodent between the pivoting structure and the rear wall. Once the trap is triggered, the rodent is contained and in most cases, killed, within the trap.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 2018Date of Patent: February 22, 2022Assignee: OMS Investments, Inc.Inventors: James R. Walsh, Paul R. Zeamer, Daniel C. Johnson

Patent number: 11185066Abstract: A rodent trap covered base defines an enclosed interior accessible through a sliding plastic tunnel defining a passageway for rodents into the interior. The tunnel has a projecting strike member, and is biased by an underlying spring to a retracted position. A trigger engaging member extends from the tunnel to be retained by a catch on a trigger mounted to the base. When a rodent passes through the tunnel into the base interior, it is directed by barriers towards a rodent attracting bait. To reach the bait, the rodent must press against a pivotably mounted trigger, thereby dislodging the trigger from the trigger engaging member which releases the tunnel to be driven by the spring to retract along parallel tracks to bring the strike plate forcibly against the rodent within the trap, usually killing it, and closing the trap, which is then presented covered within the trap for disposal.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2019Date of Patent: November 30, 2021Assignee: OMS Investments, Inc.Inventors: James R. Walsh, Daniel C. Johnson

Patent number: 11172668Abstract: A window mounted fly trap includes a frame comprising a top surface, a bottom surface disposed on a side of the frame opposite the top surface, and a mount extending from the bottom surface away from the frame. The frame defines an interior and the mount is constructed to detachably mount to a window surface. The trap also includes a cover attached to the top surface of the frame enclosing the interior at the top surface of the frame, the cover comprising an adhesive fly capture surface configured to face the window surface, the frame, cover, and window surface defining therein a fly capture chamber. The trap further includes at least one ingress in the frame for permitting flies to enter the fly capture chamber.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2019Date of Patent: November 16, 2021Assignee: OMS Investments, Inc.Inventors: Ervin Kovacs, Alan L. Patent number: 11154015Abstract: A plant growing system includes an outer shell, the outer shell being biodegradable, a rooting material, the rooting material comprising external ribbing, the external ribbing forming gaps between the outer shell and the rooting material when the rooting material is inserted in the outer shell, and one or more of a fertilizer, a nutrient, or a seed. The outer shell and the rooting material form a water reservoir, the water reservoir in communication with the gaps and, prior to the plant growing system being watered, comprising the fertilizer or nutrient.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2020Date of Patent: October 26, 2021Assignee: OMS Investments, Inc.Inventors: Mark Gerard Prinster, Bradley Alan Schultz, Kimberly Ann Rygielski, Matthew L. Patent number: 10856479Abstract: Various embodiments include a container for hydroponically growing plants. The container has a bottom surface and an open top surface and a fluid reservoir having at least a portion of the volume between the bottom surface and the top surface. A pump is positioned at a bottom portion of the fluid reservoir. A length of tubing connects the pump to a valve that is further connected to additional tubing. A plurality of jets are connected to the additional tubing to spray fluid internal to the fluid reservoir. Further, there is a support structure, configured to fit into the open top surface, that has support components for interconnecting a plurality of openings and supporting the plurality of jets. Finally, a cover plate is configured to fit over the support structure in the open top surface.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 2017Date of Patent: December 8, 2020Assignees: HGCI, Inc., OMS Investments, Inc.Inventors: Randy M.
