Abstract: A composite wall panel for use in vehicles having a floor structure and a front wall, the composite wall panel including a first polymer resin layer having a plurality of unidirectional fibers embedded therein that are substantially parallel to a first axis, and a second polymer resin layer having a plurality of unidirectional fibers embedded therein that are substantially parallel to a second axis, the second polymer resin layer being bonded to the first polymer resin layer so that the second axis is substantially perpendicular to the first axis. The composite wall panel is disposed so that the first axis is substantially parallel to the floor structure, and the rigidity of the composite wall panel is greater along the first axis than the second axis.

Abstract: A drape for covering a microscope during a medical procedure includes a body portion, a tubular portion, and an elastic ring. The body portion is configured to drape over a body of the microscope. The tubular portion corresponds to an eyepiece tube of the microscope and is connected to the body portion at a first end and terminating at a second end. The elastic ring is positioned at the second end of the tubular portion. The elastic ring includes an elastic material and the elastic ring is sized to grip an eyepiece or the eyepiece tube of the microscope.

Audio monitoring may search for keys in a personalized manner to minimize false positives and may work on low power devices in the background to continually provide security, even if a computer is locked. May transmit alerts via a data network, or voice network. The alerts may be sent to users, devices, security or medical entities to provide personal safety and security. May also be utilized for persons unable to physically manipulate their phone or computer, during or after an assault, or medical emergency. May also be utilized to improve safety when moving between locations, to improve the safety of a driver or a passenger of a vehicle.

Abstract: A neuromuscular oral appliance comprises a channel with a base adapted to accept teeth from one of an upper and a lower jaw. The oral appliance further comprises a bite pad adapted to accept teeth from the other of the upper jaw and the lower jaw, the bite pad extending from the base and including a pliable chamber that partially deforms when compressed. The oral appliance allows the lower jaw to find a balanced position relative to the upper jaw which will correspond to a position at which the facial muscles are generally at minimal tension. It has been observed that the lower jaw is naturally urged forward relative to the upper jaw in this position. This motion and the position of the lower jaw generally tend to urge the neck backward so that the cervical vertebrae substantially align, thereby facilitating an erect spine.

Abstract: A gutter protection device includes an elongated frame having opposite first and second edge portions, opposite first and second end portions, an elongated recessed portion in a medial portion thereof, and one or more insert panels removably secured within the recessed portion. The recessed portion extends from the frame first end portion to the frame second end portion, and includes a plurality of gutter access openings arranged longitudinally in end-to-end spaced-apart relationship. Each insert panel is removably secured within the frame recessed portion, and includes opposite first and second edge portions, opposite end portions, and opposite upper and lower surfaces. Each panel includes a plurality of spaced-apart openings formed therethrough that permit water to flow into a rain gutter. A filtering screen is secured to the insert panel lower surface and covers the insert panel openings. The filtering screen is configured to prevent the passage of debris therethrough.

Abstract: A gutter guard for preventing the entrance of debris into the trough of a gutter includes an outwardly convex portion extending lengthwise over the trough of the gutter. A plurality of hoods extend upwardly from the outwardly convex portion and over lie a first set of apertures. The upwardly extending hoods direct water flowing over the convex portion through the first set of apertures. A second set of apertures outwardly from the first set of apertures has downwardly extending hoods underlying, such downwardly extending hoods deflecting water on the inner surface of the outwardly convex portion.

Abstract: A custom mouthguard has a resilient U-shaped body with an anterior wall and a posterior wall. A post dam on the posterior wall forms a seal with palatal tissue to increase retention of the mouthguard in a wearer's mouth. The increased retention allows a wearer to speak and open mouth breath while wearing the mouthguard. The mouth guard also has an indexed region that serves to mutually stabilize maxillary teeth, mandibular teeth, mandible and TMJ components. Mouthguard methods and processes are also disclosed.

Abstract: A retro-reflective system for increasing the safety of a railroad crossing includes at least one railroad crossing panel. A sealer is applied to a prepared surface of the railroad crossing panel. An adhesive applied over the sealer after the sealer is partially cured adheres a retro-reflective material thereto. The retro-reflective material increases visibility of the railroad crossing. Anti-skid elements may also be applied over the adhesive, to provide enhanced traction for vehicles or pedestrians traversing the railroad crossing.
