Abstract: A system and method for analyzing and improving the performance of a body motion of an animal or human subject requires instrumenting a subject with inertial sensors, monitoring a body motion of interest, converting sensor data into motion data and animation, comparing the motion data with existing data for motion related performance parameters, providing a real-time, information rich, animation and data display of the results in color coded displays; and based on the results prescribing a training regime with exercises selected from a library of standardized exercises using standardized tools and training aids.

The transmitter can include a pulse-shaping filter that intentionally introduces memory into a signal in the form of inter-symbol interference, an error control code (ECC) encoder, a multidimensional fast Fourier transform (FFT) processing block that processes the signal in the frequency domain, and a first interleaver. The receiver can include an information-retrieving equalizer, a deinterleaver with an ECC decoder, and a second interleaver joined in an iterative ECC decoding loop.

Abstract: A method of interpreting a digit-to-digit gesture based on roll values for a wrist-wearable device is disclosed. The method includes, receiving an indication at a first point in time that a user donning the wrist-wearable device is providing a digit-to-digit gesture in which one of the user's digits touches another of the user's digits without contacting the display of the wearable device. The method further includes, in accordance with a determination that the digit-to-digit gesture is provided while data indicates that the wrist-wearable device has a first roll value, causing a target device in communication with the wearable device to perform a first input command and receiving another indication at a second point in time that is after the first point in time that the user is providing the digit-to-digit gesture again, causing the target device to perform a second input command that is distinct from the first input command.
Abstract: Systems, implements, and methods for seed orientation during planting operations of agricultural plants include a system for seed orientation having a vision system positioned in proximity to a seed disk. The vision system determines seed orientation data for seed on the seed disk. A seed belt receives seed from the seed disk and the seed belt adjusts an orientation of the seed from the seed disk to a desired seed orientation within a furrow during planting.

Abstract: An underwater light fixture and a method for making the underwater light fixture are provided. The method includes assembling a light fixture in a housing, leaving a fastener out of the light fixture, wherein an opening for the fastener fluidically couples to open volume in the housing. The housing is placed in a vacuum chamber, and a vacuum is pulled on the vacuum chamber to remove air from the open volume of the housing. A dry gas is introduced into the vacuum chamber to fill the open volume in the housing, and the fastener is installed in the light fixture to seal the open volume.
Abstract: Example methods and systems are described to add a watermark for printing in a virtual desktop environment having an agent side and a client side. A watermark can be configured at the agent side for printing at the client side. At the agent side, a fallback font can be determined for text of the watermark, and coordinate space calculation can be performed, so that the watermark prints correctly at the client side.
Abstract: Embodiments of a method include connecting an inner end of a base of a fluid coupling assembly to an outer surface of a manifold of a hydraulic fracturing system. The base includes an outer end opposite the inner end and a through-passage extending from the outer end to the inner end. In addition, the method includes inserting a coupling adapter into the through-passage from the outer end to compress the coupling adapter into the through-passage and to position a connection device of the coupling adapter outside of the through-passage at the outer end.

Abstract: A system performs efficient domain name system (DNS) based global server load balancing. The system regularly monitors server health of servers that process requests directed to virtual servers. The update server health information is used to process DNS queries that request assignment of servers for processing requests directed to virtual servers. Abstract: The invention provides, in some aspects, an automated external defibrillator (AED) that includes defibrillation circuitry capable of delivering a therapeutic shock to a patient. The AED also includes an input that receives a patient ECG signal representing real-time electrical activity of a heart of the patient and that may include artifacts resulting from cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the patient. The AED generates a real-time alert from a patient data image that is based on the patient ECG signal to effect application of the therapeutic shock to the patient. The AED generates that alert based at least in part on a shock recommendation of an artificial intelligence (AI) engine that analyzes the patient data image using a machine learning (ML) model trained with training data images. The patient data image comprises pixels whose values are a function of magnitudes of components of representations of respective time-slices of the patient ECG signal in a frequency domain.
