  • Patent number: 11986882
Abstract: An apparatus and method for fabricating a three-dimensional object from a representation of the object stored in memory. The apparatus includes a build platform having a build gap defined therein. A base plate is initially supported along a lower surface of the build platform such that an edge of the base plate extends along and closes off the build gap. A powder delivery assembly is configured to supply powder to the build gap. At least one directed energy source is configured to apply directed energy to at least a portion of the build gap to form a layer of the three-dimensional structure. An advancement assembly configured to selectively engage with the base plate and/or the three-dimensional structure to hold the base plate and the three-dimensional structure in a fixed position during forming of a layer and to advance the base plate and the three-dimensional structure once the layer is formed.

  • Patent number: 11988557
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for use in determination of the presence, type (static or AC), direction, and/or strength of an electric field. Methods include examination of a gaseous sample to determine the presence of perturbation effects brought about by dielectrophoretic forces acting on components of the gaseous sample, and thereby, to identify the presence of an electric field. Examination of a gaseous sample can include Raman spectroscopy. A gaseous sample can be analyzed to determine the presence of molecular polarization due to an induced dipole on a polarizable molecule.

  • Patent number: 11988042
Abstract: A lock module comprising a housing, a lock pawl, and an actuator. The lock pawl may be moveable between an extended position and a retracted position, wherein the lock pawl extends from the housing by a greater distance in the extended position than in the retracted position. The actuator may be configured to selectively couple to the lock pawl, the lock module being in a locked configuration when the actuator is coupled to the lock pawl. The lock pawl may be configured to move in a first direction as a closure moves from a first position to a second position and the lock pawl may be configured to move in a second direction as the closure moves from the second position to the first position. The first direction may be opposite the second direction. The lock pawl may be configured to block movement of the closure when the lock module is in the locked configuration.

  • Patent number: 11990955
Abstract: A network-enabled smart apparatus has a data processing system, at least one operational system, wide area and local network communication interfaces, and a memory. The memory has stored therein apparatus identification information, at least one service application, and an activation application. The activation application causes the data processing system to establish an internet connection and create an NFC-enabled web page. The data processing system transmits, to the user device instructions to navigate to the NFC-enabled web page and instructions for the user to tap an NFC-enabled smart card to the user device. The apparatus data processing system reads, via the NFC-enabled web page, NFC information transmitted to the user device by the smart transaction card. The application causes the apparatus to transmit the NFC information to a service administration server, and receive, from the service administration server, a service activation command.

  • Patent number: 11991237
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for adaptive content delivery. In one embodiment, a system includes a repository operable to store a plurality of web components, and a database operable to store identifiers of a plurality of users. The system also includes a machine learning module operable to: generate a model of computing device interactions of the plurality of the users based on the stored identifiers of the plurality of users; monitor a computing device interaction of a first of the plurality of users; process the computing device interaction of the first user through the model; and predict a format of web component delivery desired by the user based on the model. A formatter may be operable to retrieve a portion of the web components from the repository, and to automatically format the retrieved web components for the first user based on the predicted format of web component delivery.

  • Patent number: 11990006
Abstract: Table-based gaming actions are disclosed where additional prizes or other gains can be awarded after spinning of a first reward determining wheel of chance by spinning of one or more further wheels of chance where the further spinnings are enabled by a previous spin outcome landing on an outcome selecting segment that awards a partial reward and also awards the spinning of the next successive wheel of chance. Each of the successive wheels of chance is different from the others such that a variety of reward possibilities is provided. Different games, such as presented at different tables, may be linked, where the spinnings offer a jackpot and the odds of each player winning the jackpot is the same, regardless of the game being played.

  • Patent number: 11989137
Abstract: Logging cache line lifetime hints when recording an execution trace. A microprocessor detects occurrence of a first cache event that initiates a lifetime of a cache line within a memory cache, and initiates logging first trace information indicating a beginning of the lifetime of the cache line within the memory cache. Subsequently, the microprocessor detects occurrence of a second cache event that ends the lifetime of the cache line within the memory cache. Based on detecting the second cache event, the microprocessor initiates logging second trace information indicating an ending of the lifetime of the cache line within the memory cache.
