Abstract: An exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system for an internal combustion (IC) engine. The EGR system has a first cooler configured to cool exhaust from an exhaust system of the IC and to drain exhaust liquid formed by the cooling. The EGR system has a mixture chamber configured to mix exhaust cooled by the first cooler with intake air to form an exhaust-air mixture. The EGR system has a second cooler configured to cool the exhaust-air mixture. The EGR system has a heat exchange system for circulating and cooling coolant fluid used by the first and second coolers, and includes a split valve configured to divide coolant fluid flow between the first and second coolers. The EGR system has an engine control module configured to adjust the split valve based on comparing a temperature of the exhaust-air mixture to a determined dewpoint temperature of the exhaust-air mixture.
Abstract: A cable head line cutter tool comprising an internal mandrel anchored to a line and releasably held in an initial position by a locking mechanism disposed within an outer housing of the cable head cutter tool. When a tensile load is applied to the line sufficient to overcome a mechanical resistance acting upon the locking mechanism, and maintained for a duration sufficient to overcome a hydraulic resistance acting upon the locking mechanism, the internal mandrel may become released from the locking mechanism and allowed to travel within the outer housing free of the locking mechanism. In embodiments, the cable head line cutter tool may comprise one or more such locking mechanisms acting independently or in coordination. If the tensile load applied to the line is sufficient to release the mandrel from each of the one or more locking mechanisms and maintained for sufficient duration, the mandrel may cause a line cutter device disposed within the cable head line cutter tool to cut the line.

Abstract: An email payment gateway may be configured to send emails to potential donors. The emails may include mailto hyperlinks. Each mailto hyperlink may be associated with one or more fundraising campaigns, and each mailto hyperlink describes an email message that may be generated when that hyperlink is selected. When a mailto hyperlink is selected, the generated email message may include one or more parameters related to the fundraising campaign associated with the hyperlink, such as an identifier of the fundraising campaign, donor identity or donation amount. The generated email message may then be transmitted to the email payment gateway. The email payment gateway may receive the message and, based on the parameters in the received message, process the donation on behalf of the donor.
Abstract: The invention is an article of headwear that incorporates a hair compression system and adjustment system for compressing one or more sections of a wearer's hair. The headwear may be formed of a crown, a compression system, and an adjustment system. The compression system includes one or more stretchable materials that form the inner layer of the crown. The compression system may compress along a horizontal, diagonal and/or vertical plane of the head of a wearer. The compression system is attached to an adjustment system often at the back of the headwear which can be attached to the crown. The adjustment system allows a user to manually tighten the compression system to a desired pressure to keep the hair of the user compressed while the user wears the headwear. The desired hair compression is capable of being regulated by the adjustment system.
Abstract: Systems and methods for extrinsic calibration of vehicle-mounted sensors are provided. One example method involves obtaining first sensor data collected by a first sensor and a second sensor while a vehicle is aligned in a first yaw direction. The method also involves obtaining second sensor data collected by the first sensor and the second sensor while the vehicle is aligned in a second yaw direction. The method also involves determining, based on the first sensor data and the second sensor data, (i) first pitch and roll misalignments of the first sensor relative to the vehicle and (ii) second pitch and roll misalignments of the second sensor relative to the first sensor. The method also involves determining third pitch and roll misalignments of the second sensor relative to the vehicle based on (i) the first pitch and roll misalignments and (ii) the second pitch and roll misalignments.
Abstract: A system and related methods for identifying characteristics of handbags is described. One method includes receiving one or more images of a handbag, eliminating all but select images from the one or more images of the handbag to obtain a grouping of one or more select images, the select images being those embodying a complete periphery and frontal view of the handbag. For each of the one or more select images, aligning feature-corresponding pixels with an image axis, comparing at least a portion of the one or more select images with a plurality of stored images, and determining characteristics of the handbag based on said comparing.
Abstract: A connector for connecting with an absorber canister includes a first connection port for detachably communicating with an input port of the absorber canister; a second connection port for detachably communicating with an output port of the absorber canister; and a seal. The seal being sleeved on a sidewall of at least one connection port of the first connection port and the second connection port, and the seal including: an annular ring positioned on an outer sidewall of the at least one connection port; a guide chamfer portion, the guide chamfer portion being annular and extending obliquely from a bottom of the annular ring towards an interior of the at least one connection port; and a lip, the lip being annular and extending from an end portion of the guide chamfer portion in a direction towards or away from the annular ring.
Abstract: A light fixture includes a housing for supporting a light source and an enclosure for supporting a driver in electrical communication with the light source. The enclosure is selectively supported in one of a first position and a second position while maintaining electrical communication between the driver and the light source in both positions. The enclosure is directly coupled to the housing in the first position, and the enclosure is supported separately from the housing in the second position.
Abstract: In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides a method to process high pressure air into low pressure breathing air for one or more sealing and locking helmets and/or one or more air respirators. Other embodiments include a system configured to perform such a method and a manufacturing process of making such a system. In some embodiments, the breathing system automatically fills a local reserve bottle by pressure equalization. In this regard, the secondary supply bottles will fill the backup bottle when the console module operator (CMO) connects the secondary air supply to the system. The backup bottle will then be isolated from depletion during normal operation by means of a check valve to prevent back flow of the emergency cylinder into the secondary air supply. The local reserve bottle will protect against loss of air on any of the high pressure air hoses.
Abstract: A water vapor filtration and delivery system having a water inlet coupled to a source of water, a pump for pumping an amount of water from the water inlet, a filtration unit connected to the water inlet that removes all contaminants larger than 50 nanometers, and a nozzle having an outlet orifice for distributing the filtered water vapor into a stream of air. The water vapor filtration and delivery system includes a locator module coupled to a plenum or a wall of an air duct and having a base plate attached to the plenum, a locator plate removably attached to the base plate, and at least one hand bolt. There is a flexible hose between the filtration unit and the locator module configured to transfer water from the filtration unit to the locator module and a rigid pipe between the locator plate and the nozzle.
Abstract: A method includes receiving, by a data storage device, a read command. The method further includes reading a first set of outer code stored to a magnetic recording medium of the data storage device and storing the first set of outer code to memory. The method further includes receiving a write command to write data to the magnetic recording medium and writing a second set of outer code to the magnetic recording medium in connection with the write command.
