Abstract: This document describes techniques and systems that enable a base-station-initiated grant revoke. The techniques and systems allow a base station to generate and send a grant-revocation message (GRM) to a user equipment (UE) to revoke a scheduled uplink (UL) or downlink (DL) grant from the base station. The base station can transmit the GRM to the UE using a variety of techniques. For example, based on a trigger event, the base station may assign a UE identifier, such as a specific radio network temporary identifier (RNTI), to the UE and transmit the GRM to the UE using a revoke-physical-downlink-control-channel (R PDCCH) transmission that is associated with the UE identifier. These techniques allow the base station to revoke a scheduled UL or DL grant, which can enable the UE to quickly address timing-critical resource allocation issues and mitigate the effects of adverse operating conditions.
Abstract: A computer implemented method includes detecting user interaction with mixed reality displayed content in a mixed reality system. User focus is determined as a function of the user interaction based on the user interaction using a spatial intent model. A length of time for extending voice engagement with the mixed reality system is modified based on the determined user focus. Detecting user interaction with the displayed content may include tracking eye movements to determine objects in the displayed content at which the user is looking and determining a context of a user dialog during the voice engagement.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an electric vehicle charger that may include power electronics, one or more controllers, and one or more cable/connector plugs. The disclosed bi-charger may operate bi-directionally. Power components may be arranged in a charger enclosure in a configuration providing the optimum air flow over a heat sink(s) that will allow the most heat to be moved out of the charger enclosure with the least effort. The disclosed charger may use a combination of forced and natural convection to effectively cool the system. Power stages may be mounted in the enclosure and a control tray may be mounted above the power stages. The disclosed charger may use a three-power stage architecture. The disclosed charger also uses a configuration and method of mounting and positioning the power components within the enclosure that results in a smaller and more power dense piece of equipment.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for shaping compute load using virtual capacity. In one aspect, a method includes obtaining a load forecast that indicates forecasted future compute load for a cell, obtaining a power model that models a relationship between power usage and computational usage for the cell, obtaining a carbon intensity forecast that indicates a forecast of carbon intensity for a geographic area where the cell is located, determining a virtual capacity for the cell based on the load forecast, the power model, and the carbon intensity forecast, and providing the virtual capacity for the cell to the cell.

Abstract: The described systems and methods determine a driver's fitness to safely operate a moving vehicle based at least in part upon observed UVB exposure patterns, where the driver's UVB exposure levels may serve as a proxy for vitamin D levels in that driver's body. A smart ring, wearable on a user's finger, continuously monitors user's exposure to UVB light. This UVB exposure data, representing UVB exposure patterns, can be utilized, in combination with driving data, to train a machine learning model, which will predict the user's level of risk exposure based at least in part upon observed UVB exposure patterns. The user can be warned of this risk to prevent them from driving or to encourage them to get more sunlight exposure before driving. In some instances, the disclosed smart ring system may interact with the user's vehicle to prevent it from starting while exposed to high risk due to deteriorated psychological or physiological conditions stemming from insufficient UVB exposure.
Abstract: The disclosure herein relates rubber sheeting materials. Specifically, the disclosure relates to ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) membranes that include maleic anhydride grafted EPDM. The EPDM rubber membranes may be used for weatherproofing buildings, and in particular, as a membrane for building façade.

Abstract: Port occupancy detection for connector panels is provided. In one embodiment, a connector panel comprises: a communications unit communicatively coupled to a network; and at least one modular port adapter assembly comprising: a plurality of communications couplers; and a plurality of port occupancy sensors each coupled to a sensor circuit. Each of the port occupancy sensors are configured to sense when the couplers are occupied. The panel communications unit obtains from the sensor circuit which of the couplers are occupied. The panel communications unit communicates port occupancy information to a gateway indicating circuit which of the couplers are occupied. A chassis including sidewalls extends between a front and a rear to define an interior, and including guides on the sidewalls. A plurality of blades mounted to the guides of the chassis, each blade including a midplane bus assembly configured to communicatively couple the sensor circuit to the panel communication unit.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, device, and the like, for a liquid nitrogen dispensing head that may be used in a system for cooling aggregate, such as may be found in a batch plant involved in producing concrete. The dispensing head is positioned over a conveyor belt that conveys aggregate to a mixing apparatus to produce concrete. The head dispenses liquid nitrogen onto the aggregate to cool the aggregate and may include interior chambers separated by one or more baffles. The chambers may reduce the pressure of the liquid nitrogen onto the aggregate in relation to the flow pressure of the liquid nitrogen entering the dispensing head. In another example, an assembly may include sidewalls that extend to the aggregate on either side of the head to form a cooling tunnel through which the aggregate is conveyed and is exposed to the liquid nitrogen being dispensed from the head.

Abstract: The disclosed technology is generally directed to virtual machines. In one example of the technology, a network change from a first virtual network to a second virtual network is reconfigured for a first virtual machine that is executing on a first virtual machine host. The reconfiguring includes the following. In the first virtual machine host, a mapping change from the first virtual network to the second virtual network is configured by reprogramming drivers in the first virtual machine host for route mapping for the second virtual network. A Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) retrigger is caused without rebooting the first virtual machine. A configuration file is provided to the first virtual machine. The configuration file includes user-specific networking settings. The first virtual machine is reconfigured in accordance with the user-specific networking settings.
