Abstract: Systems and devices for resecting and removing tissue or organs from the interior of a patient's body, in a minimally invasive laparoscopic procedure while preventing any dispersion of potentially malignant tissue during the resection process.
Abstract: In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to test the operation of a point-of-sale (POS) system by executing a testing routine to send signals associated with keystrokes from a POS keyboard to a POS terminal for processing in the POS system. The simulated keystroke signals have expected corresponding operations in the POS system.

Abstract: An automated seed planter may include at least two vacuum cylinders which simultaneously and/or independently pick up and deliver seeds to a single tray. The vacuum cylinders may have a common rotational axis about which the vacuum cylinders rotate. The automated seed planter may include a plurality of vertical seed chutes which receive seeds therein. The vertical seed chutes have open upper and lower ends. A shutter assembly of the seed planter is associated with the lower ends of the vertical seed chutes. The shutter assembly is selectively opens and closes the lower ends of the seed chutes to plant the seeds on the tray. The automated seed planter may include a seed correction assembly including seed wells which receive seeds therein. The seed correction assembly selectively displaces one or more of the seeds from the seed wells to deliver the one or more seeds toward the tray for planting.
Abstract: A device for facilitating event processing is presented. The device includes a transceiver, one or more memories including an event processing model, and one or more processors. The processors retrieve a new event from an application programming interface (API). The processors then parse the new event to determine a parsed event and store the parsed event in the memories. After determining the presence or absence of an additional new event via the API, the processors transmit a notification for display to a user indicating the parsed event and prompting a user to process the parsed event, resulting in either a successful or a failure processing signal. Responsive to receiving a failure processing signal, the processors schedule a subsequent notification for transmission to the user device according to an event processing model by using an exponential back-off and a random jitter.
Abstract: A method of operating a three-dimensional (3D) metal object manufacturing apparatus selects operational parameters for operation of the printer to form conductive metal traces on substrates with dimensions within appropriate tolerances and with sufficient conductive material to carry electrical currents without burning up or becoming too hot. The method identifies the material of the substrate and the bulk metal being melted for ejection and uses this identification data to select the operational parameters. Thus, the method can form conductive traces and circuits on a wide range of substrate materials including polymeric substrates, semiconductor materials, oxide layers on semiconductor materials, glass, and other crystalline materials.

Abstract: The described technology provides a method including selecting a physical SFT entry to be victimized, the physical SFT entry being one of a base SFT entry and an extra SFT entry of a logical SFT entry in a snoop filter (SFT) and consolidating the base SFT entry and the extra SFT entry into one physical entry.
Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for improving anomaly detection in timeseries datasets. Different machine learning models may be trained to process specific types of timeseries data efficiently and accurately. Thus, selecting a proper machine learning model for identifying anomalies in a specific set of timeseries data may greatly improve accuracy and efficiency of anomaly detection. Another way to improve anomaly detection is to process a multitude of timeseries datasets for a time period (e.g., 90 days) to detect anomalies from those timeseries datasets and then correlate those detected anomalies by generating an anomaly timeseries dataset and identifying anomalies within the anomaly timeseries dataset. Yet another way to improve anomaly detection is to divide a dataset into multiple datasets based on a type of anomaly detection requested.

Abstract: The present technology pertains to determining whether traffic signal cameras of an AV are miscalibrated. One technique for determining if a given traffic signal camera is miscalibrated includes obtaining an image from a traffic signal camera, marking the location of a traffic signal in the image with a bounding box, and determining if the light sources of the traffic signal are within the bounding box. If not, an alternate reason check is performed to determine whether an alternate reason exists for why the light source of the traffic signal is not within the bounding box. If no such reason exists, then the traffic signal camera may be miscalibrated. An additional calibration check may be performed using images from two traffic signal cameras of the AV each having four common light sources, and performing a homographic computation using the location of the light sources in the images.
Abstract: An earth-boring rotary drill tool may comprise a body comprising a pin, a roller cone mounted on the pin, and a seal assembly disposed between the pin and the roller cone. The first ring may comprise longitudinally converging sidewall surfaces defining a minimum radial thickness of the first ring at points of tangential intersection with a convex curved surface spanning a radial thickness of the first ring. The second ring may comprise a concave surface located and configured to interface over an area of contact with the convex curved surface of the first ring. The third ring may be positioned adjacent to, and concentric with, the second ring. The second ring may be disposed radially inward from the third ring. The first ring may also contact a surface of the roller cone or an insert ring adjacent the roller cone to form a seal between the first ring and the surface.
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for dynamically adjusting associations between radio units (RUs) and a virtualized radio access network (vRAN) by a virtual translational layer running in a controller of the vRAN. Each of the RUs have a number of antennas and are configured to service a cell of a cellular communications network. Based on performance metrics, the virtual translational layer maps the RUs to a virtualized cell of the cellular communications network, the virtualized cell including a mapped selection of the RUs.
Abstract: A lowband radiator has four dipole arms and a central region that is centered at the intersection of the dipole arms. Each of the dipole arms has a sequence of capacitive and inductive structures and a pair of high gain wings that are disposed in the dipole central region. In one embodiment of the lowband radiator, each dipole arm has a gap within the central region that is colinear with the dipole arm. The dipoles provide for improved isolation from nearby midband radiators while providing high gain.
Abstract: A data structure programmatically links the first product to a second product. The second product is historically purchased by the customer whenever the customer has also purchased the first product. A determination is made as to whether the customer purchased the second product together with the first product based upon the sales data. When the customer has failed to purchase the second product with the first product, instructions are transmitted to the retail store over the network to perform a verification that the second product is out-of-stock. An outcome of the verification from the retail store is received via the network. A determination is made as to a level of certainty that the second product is actually out-of-stock based upon an analysis of the sales data and the outcome of the verification. When the level of certainty exceeds a predetermined threshold, the PI value is adjusted to zero.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for automatically detecting events and creating photo-product designs based on the events in a photo-product design system includes automatically identifying an event by an event detection module based on daily numbers of captured photos over a plurality of days, automatically selecting a photo-product type by an intelligent product design creation engine in the photo-product design system, calculating a daily weight for a photo product design in the photo-product type based on the daily numbers of captured photos, automatically determining a number of product photos allocated to each day based on associated daily weight, automatically selecting product photos from the captured photos each day at the event according to the number of product photos allocated to each day, and automatically creating a photo-product design for the event using the selected product photos.
Abstract: Techniques are described herein that are capable of updating a state of a client device using a limited event size protocol. An initial state of the client device is stored. The initial state is defined by first records that identify first respective binaries associated with the client device at a first time. A first event of multiple events, which are configured in accordance with the limited event size protocol, is received from the client device. Each event includes a respective subset of second records, which identify respective second binaries associated with the client device at a second time. The first event is parsed to identify a first subset of the second records that is included in the first event. An updated state of the client device is generated by replacing a first portion of the first records with the first subset of the second records.
