  • Patent number: 12184643
Abstract: A central entity can be in communication with a terminal and a plurality of authentication entities. The central entity can receive a token from the terminal and the central entity can decide to transmit the token to a subset of the plurality of authentication entities. The authentication entities which receive the token, can verify or authenticate the token and transmit an authentication message to the central entity. Based on the authentication messages, the central entity can transmit a message to the terminal indicating which authentication entities authenticated or verified the user and/or a request associated with the user.

  • Patent number: 12182138
Abstract: Described herein is a technique for surfacing content for users of a connection network application. The technique involves performing a first query to fetch recently-impressed items viewed by a user of the connection network application and, concurrently with the first query, performing a second query of search nodes to generate a set of search node results. The technique allows for filtering the recently-impressed items from the set of search node results to generate a candidate set and applying a freshness factor to the candidate set. Updates are provided to a user display, based on results of applying the freshness factor to the candidate set.

  • Patent number: 12184336
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for transmitting information optically. For instance, a system may include an optical source configured to generate a beam of light. The system may include at least one modulator configured to encode data on the beam of light to produce an encoded beam of light/encoded plurality of pulses. The system may include a spectrally-equalizing amplifier configured to receive the encoded beam of light/encoded plurality of pulses from the at least one modulator and both amplify and filter the encoded beam of light/encoded plurality of pulses to produce a filtered beam of light/filtered plurality of pulses, thereby spectrally equalizing a gain applied to the encoded beam of light. In some cases, the system may slice the beam of slight, to ensure a detector has impulsive detection. In some cases, the system may include a temperature controller to shift a distribution curve of wavelengths of the optical source.

  • Patent number: 12179449
Abstract: In one embodiment, a transfer system is configured to move a portion of a strip within a belt forming system. The transfer system may comprise a first segment comprising a main body adapted to engage a strip. A plurality of slots may be disposed in a surface of the main body. Fluid communication may be provided from a fluid supply to the plurality of slots, such that the fluid communication with the plurality of slots enables holding the strip against the main body or blowing the strip off the main body. The plurality of slots may be arranged in a series of rows, wherein a first slot in a first row is positioned directly adjacent to a second slot in the first row. First and second strips of different dimensions may be transferred without any mechanical adjustments being made to the main body.
