Patent number: 12166793Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for facilitating efficient intrusion detection via hierarchical signatures, in accordance with embodiments described herein. In particular, embodiments described herein include obtaining an intrusion signature that includes an intrusion attribute value(s) indicating a malicious attack on a computer network or system. Based on the intrusion signature, a hierarchical signature is generated by including the intrusion attribute value(s) of the intrusion signature in one of a corresponding data structure of hierarchical data structures. Thereafter, a network packet, having a data attribute(s) is obtained. The network packet is determined as suspect of being malicious based on the data attribute(s) of the network packet matching the at intrusion attribute value(s) of the hierarchical signature. The indication of the suspect network packet can be provided, for example for notification of such a suspect network packet.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2022Date of Patent: December 10, 2024Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventor: Ankit Jain

Patent number: 12161420Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods in which a surgeon can use computer-implemented deformity assessment and correction tools to create 3D models of a bone. To ensure adequate healing, a surgeon may choose to use a prefabricated bone plate, a semi-customized bone plate, or a fully-customized bone plate to hold first and second bone portions in a corrected position. To select the appropriate prefabricated bone plate, the surgeon may identify three landmark locations on the first and second bone portions corresponding to desired fixation hole locations on the bone plate. The surgeon can then use a software application to evaluate multiple bone plate designs in a library and compare the average proximity of the landmark locations to fixation hole locations on each of the bone plate designs. Then, the surgeon can determine which bone plate design best fits the patient anatomy based on his comparison.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2021Date of Patent: December 10, 2024Assignee: Stryker European Operations Holdings LLCInventors: Manoj Kumar Singh, Anup Kumar

Patent number: 12167282Abstract: A communication device, method and computer program product reduce time to connect a communication session. The communication device registers for cellular communication service using a first radio access technology (RAT) or sub-RAT with a first node. The communication device determines whether a connection for a selected communication service is predicted to be available from the first node. The communication device determines whether a request for the selected communication service is predicted to occur. In response to determining that the connection for the selected communication service is unavailable from the first node and the request for the selected communication service is predicted to occur, the communication device identifies a second node that supports communication using a second RAT/sub-RAT. The communication devices triggers registration fallback from the first node to the second node.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2022Date of Patent: December 10, 2024Assignee: Motorola Mobility LLCInventor: Daniel C Chisu

Patent number: 12165372Abstract: Modulation-encoded light, using different spectral bin coded light components, can illuminate a stationary or moving (relative) target object or scene. Response signal processing can use information about the respective different time-varying modulation functions, to decode to recover information about a respective response parameter affected by the target object or scene. Electrical or optical modulation encoding can be used. LED-based spectroscopic analysis of a composition of a target (e.g., SpO2, glucose, etc.) can be performed; such can optionally include decoding of encoded optical modulation functions. Baffles or apertures or optics can be used, such as to constrain light provided by particular LEDs. Coded light illumination can be used with a focal plane array light imager receiving response light for inspecting a moving semiconductor or other target.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2022Date of Patent: December 10, 2024Assignee: Emcode Photonics LLCInventor: Shrenik Deliwala

Patent number: 12164703Abstract: Examples provide an input device for an adaptive chord typing system. An input device includes a plurality of keys and a chord manager in firmware or software on the device. The chord manager analyzes input words and identifies frequently input candidate words. The chord manager automatically generates recommended chords that are shorter than the identified candidate words to serve as a shortcut during typing. The recommended chords are output to a user via a user interface communicatively coupled to the input device. If the user accepts a recommended chord, the chord is mapped to a corresponding frequently input word. When the user types a mapped chord using the keys on the input device, the input device generates keystroke data corresponding to the corresponding frequently input word(s), as if the user had actually input the word(s) rather than the chord to increase typing speed.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2022Date of Patent: December 10, 2024Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventor: Dany Khalife
