  • Patent number: 10745161
Abstract: A system, apparatus and method are presented for loading product containers into a crate wherein the crate is a reusable crate having four sides, which may be distorted bowed or bent relative to a nominal position. The system has a conveyer to convey the crate to an actuation assembly. The actuation assembly then actuates the crate into contact with a bracing assembly. The bracing assembly has four bracing members, each of which has at least one bracing block engaged thereto. Each bracing block has a grasping portion which contacts and bias against one of the four sides of the crate when the crate is actuated into engagement with the bracing assembly so as to reposition the sides of the crate to be in the nominal position.

  • Patent number: 10747630
Abstract: An illustrative “VM heartbeat monitoring network” of heartbeat monitor nodes monitors target VMs in a data storage management system. Accordingly, target VMs are distributed and re-distributed among illustrative worker monitor nodes according to preferences in an illustrative VM distribution logic. Worker heartbeat monitor nodes use an illustrative ping monitoring logic to transmit special-purpose heartbeat packets to respective target VMs and to track ping responses. If a target VM is ultimately confirmed failed by its worker monitor node, an illustrative master monitor node triggers an enhanced storage manager to initiate failover for the failed VM. The enhanced storage manager communicates with the heartbeat monitor nodes and also manages VM failovers and other storage management operations in the system. Special features for cloud-to-cloud failover scenarios enable a VM in a first region of a public cloud to fail over to a second region.

  • Patent number: 10749688
Abstract: Systems and methods for obtaining authentication vectors issued, for use by a mobile communication terminal, by a Home Location Register (HLR) that serves a cellular communication network independently of any cooperation with the cellular network. Further to obtaining the authentication vectors, a terminal is caused to communicate over a WiFi WLAN using an encryption key derived from the obtained authentication vectors, e.g., per the EAP-SIM or EAP-AKA protocol. Since the encryption key is known, communication from the terminal is decrypted. The authentication vectors may be obtained by (i) an “impersonating” Visitor Location Register (VLR) server that does not serve the cellular network; (ii) an interrogation device which, by imitating a legitimate base station serving the cellular network, solicits the mobile communication terminal to associate with the interrogation device; or (iii) an SS7 probe, which obtains authentication vectors communicated from the HLR server to other entities on the SS7 network.

  • Patent number: 10747909
Abstract: A method and architecture for mitigating memory imprinting in electronic system volatile memory. At system power-up, a bus mode register control determines whether to operate the current power cycle in normal mode or inversion mode, with an objective of equal amounts of time in each mode over the system's lifecycle. A bi-directional data bus inverter is positioned between a system processor and volatile memory. When the system is running in inversion mode, data from non-volatile memory is inverted (0's and 1's are swapped) when copied to volatile memory, and the data bus inverter rectifies all data bits flowing in/out of the processor. By balancing the time spent by individual memory addresses in high and low voltage states, the system minimizes differences in memory cell stresses, thus reducing memory imprinting effects. The same concept applied to other architectures, such as internal processor cache memory, and FPGA configuration memory, is also disclosed.
